2023-11-15 23:54:49 +0000 UTCThese last couple of episodes explained that Vampires are a different mutation that occurred from the demon blood experiments. So vampires and the possessed can both trace their origins back to Aurora’s blood. They all have Aurora’s blood in them and so are magically connected to Aurora. Based on this episode Claire was possessed as a child and Cid cured her without her realising it. Claire has Aurora’s blood in her from her possession and now she also has vampire blood which is also Aurora’s blood. Which is probably why Aurora was able to take over Claire’s body because the connection was stronger.

2023-10-20 09:19:43 +0000 UTCFrom what I remember from season 1 hundreds of years ago evil scientists tried to use the blood of the demon Diablos AKA Aurora the Witch of Calamity to create super soldiers AKA Heroes such as Olivia from legend. The “possessed” are people with the demon blood in them that turn into those blob creatures when their bodies can’t adapt to the demon blood. Cid AKA Shadow can cure the possession and as far as I know all the members of Shadow Garden are girls who were formerly possessed and either saved by Cid or by another member of Shadow Garden.

2023-10-19 04:30:03 +0000 UTCTo be honest, on that one your guess is as good as mine. It def hasn't been revealed in the anime yet, and I'm not a manga reader. I would say that since she was both bitten by a vampire as well as originally one of the possessed, she's probably the closest living thing to the witch of calamity. That maybe somehow allowed her to possess Claire? Idk, like I said this is all head cannon, we'll have to wait and see unless I somehow missed something massive.

2023-10-19 04:00:10 +0000 UTCa few things. First, Claire wasn't having a flashback. Since when did technology in their world look anything like what you saw there? Second, the witch of calamity was revealed in season 1 to actually be the main big bad of the series, the demon diablos. Hence the "I am the original" when Elizabeth was trying to control possessed blood against her (badass scene btw). Finally, the ability you saw Auora (the witch of calamity) about to use was supposed to be Cid's "I am atomic" hence the reaction from beta. awesome reaction though, always love to eminence in the shadow.
