2023-12-10 07:49:33 +0000 UTCOk ok if we tied that in with the baby swap theories. Let say the previous emperor had Maomao but the previous emperor didn't like having a daughter instead of a son hence the swap and they took Maomao out of the palace for her own protection 😅 that seem way out there.

2023-12-10 07:37:11 +0000 UTCAbout the foster sibling thing, they meant that the current emperor and Ah Duo were raised by the same nurse/nanny (likely by Ah Duo's mother). They probably grew up knowing each other long before Ah Duo became his concubine. So, they're not biologically related at all. In Japanese, they said 'chi-kyodai.' 'Chi' here means breasts and 'kyodai' means siblings. They were breastfed by the same nanny.

2023-12-10 06:38:10 +0000 UTCWhat I understand is that they revealed that Mamao is 17 years old, and 17 years ago the previous emperor had a child at the same time that the current emperor (a prince at that time) had a child with Ah Duo. My theory is that Jinshi and Mamao were born at the same time and Mamao is a princess. Then Luomen took Mamao out of the palace, I don't know the reason. But probably to protect her?

I think the previous emperor’s son died but ah duos survived so they had them switch. And since MaoMao’s dad is the one who delivered the baby/babies he would know. So he had to leave.

2023-12-10 04:56:22 +0000 UTCWe don't know who the previous emperor son, current emperor little brother is. We just speculate it's Jinshi but there was no confirmation. This is why this episode is so confusing. 17 years ago the previous emperor and the current emperor had babies at the same times. And the baby of Ah-Duo and the current emperor supposedly died. The confusion part come from the fact that Jinshi look a lot like Ah-Duo. There is no explanation for that except. Only speculation that doesn't make much sense.

And his (Jinshi’s) older brother is the one who had a baby boy 17 years ago with Ah-Duo, which supposedly died. So that baby would’ve been Jinshi’s nephew. Am I understanding that correctly?

The hint montage I have no clue if I was supposed to deduce something but nope way over my head. The honey potential licking was a bit much for me. Made me cringe more than anything. Lady Lishu is in the worst position ever. With all her lady in waiting being bitch and isolating her from everyone else. Because she is so young she is the least able to manage them. And then it’s so petty. What are they trying to accomplish? They will only get Lishu to lose favor. If she is longer a concubine the lady in waiting loses even more since they had nothing else. I never understand living like this everyday being catty all the time, What a toxic environment to be in. The Ah-Duo head lady in waiting might even do it without the concubine knowing. Getting rid of her competition for her own good. 😲I didn’t even realise before you said it. First you said Ah-Duo look like Jinshi then, now is that your mom 🤯 They say 17 years ago so the emperor's brother is 17 right now. The same age as Maomao 😁 Ok I had to rewrite the sub to understand. So 17 years ago the current emperor was still a prince, he had a son with concubine Ah-Duo. The baby’s already gone. He was born around the same time as the prior emperor and empress dowager’s son. In other words the current emperor little brother. So in theory Jinshi and Ah-Duo are not related. The previous emperor with the empress dowager and Ah-Duo and the prince(current emperor) had a baby at the same time. Ah-Duo Baby died. But now because I just wrote all that I suspect a weird switch but it make no sense at all beside Jinshi looking like Ah-Duo, I don’t get the foster siblings thing, I’m so confused. Ok now that you said that maybe the baby didn’t die, so maybe the baby didn’t die and is Jinshi. I’m so confused 😅 After episode. Ok now my head is about to explode from the confusion. Yes it’s a possibility that Maomao is the baby, maybe her father pretended that the baby died and left with Maomao. That make even less sense since they look nothing alike . It make more sense for Jinshi to be related but the story does not add up. We are missing some crucial information. Well I’m more confused than ever but maybe rereading the comment would clarified something for other people. 😅 Take Care 😋
