Here we go! The long awaited return of the She-Brute! Except, it won't quite be the same characters as before. Originally, I wanted She-Brute to be set in the sixties, but for reasons I forget, I made the setting present-day. A lot of stuff happened at the end of the She-Brute saga that's irreconcileable with just plonking the characters straight back into their old lives on a missile base. Also, considering this is a comic in which time travel is literally in the title, I wanted the next chapter to be a different time and place (the sequence on Hidden Isle was present day).
The differences you will notice: Dr Rossini still transforms into the same She-Brute, but at this point in her new continuity, the change is no longer triggered by nightfall.
Jenna Jones still has an amazonian alter-ego of her own, but here she is known as 'Girl-Brute', and she retains her intelligence when she brutes-out (albeit with a more surly disposition). The same as before, Rossini is unaware of Jenna's secret.
General Jones is now Jenna's mother rather than her father. I thought it would suit the dynamic of She-Brute more to have the lead characters be all-female.
Phew! All this and we don't even know where Ashley, Edgar, Rebekah and Tawn are going to fit in all this. And when the She Brute of 1968 meets the She Brute of 3000... watch out!
