Chapter 4

Allie yawned and fastened the sash of her silk robe. She opened the door to the kitchen from the basement stairs, and saw that Jen was already up and making herself some coffee. She was wearing a large Snoopy t-shirt-- one of Allies-- that came down to the tops of her thighs.

“Making yourself at home, I see” said Allie with a raised eyebrow.

“I rise early”, Jen grinned at Allie as she popped a couple of slices of bread into the toaster. Allie frowned and reached for the coffee pot. Even though she'd been the one to invite Jen over, she was a little irritated by her overly familiar attitude with her kitchen. Brushing it off, Allie poured herself a cup and took a seat at the breakfast bar. She was feeling like she could do with at least another hours sleep—last night had been quite strenuous, particularly after getting home. She'd somehow managed to get the She-Hulk in her house without any commotion and --more importantly--, unnoticed by anyone in the neighborhood. Once inside, Allie had lead her giant green partner down to the special basement boudoir she'd constructed for her super-powered sleeping partners. And from there...well. Nature had taken it's course.

“That's quite some set up you've got down there,” said Jen, licking jam off a butter knife whilst eyeballing Allie. “Your sex dungeon, I mean.”

Allie bristled. “It's not a sex dungeon.”

“Are you kidding me? It's like the Batcave, if Batman filed it with 100% kinky shit. You've got, like, a walk-in wardrobe that's just full of glass cases with all your sexy outfits...”

“Those are my uniforms for when I'm Altawoman-- an aqua-suit, a space-suit...”

“Is a dominatrix outfit a uniform?”

“What? NO! That's not a dominatrix uniform!”

“It's a black PVC unitard thong studded with metal spikes, Allie.”

“That was a gift from the King of the Biker-Planet”

“Oh? Along with the stiletto boots with actual stiletto knives for heels?”

“It's their ceremonial dress!”

“It's totally, totally kinky. And it's in your sex dungeon.”

“It's not a goddam sex dungeon! C'mon, you know how my powers work. I need a place where I can let off steam without causing a damn earthquake!”

“There's a rack of dildos. In order of size. Hand operated to battery powered.”

“I need those to... regulate my powers. It's not a sex dungeon.”

“You need to regulate your powers underground? Behind a big bolted door that you need a code to open? Sex dungeon.”

Allie fumed and looked away from Jen, who at that point realised she had taken her teasing too far.

“Hey...I'm sorry. Really. I need to work on my vicious streak, I know I do.”

Allie remained stony faced, peering into her coffee cup. Jen moved closer and put a hand on her shoulder. “I was being a jerk, I'm sorry. I had a great time with you last night and I... I never get to...”

Jen gritted her teeth, fishing for the right words. It all came very easily to her in court, but when it came to personal situations she somehow always ended up mismanaging things. Trying not to get frustrated with herself (because that usually had some negative consequences), Jen continued speaking.

“You're the only one who really... understands me, Allie. And I don't show you any appreciation for it.”

Allie sighed and looked round at Jen. It wasn't the first time Jen had apologised after pushing her buttons, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Jen was being Jen as usual.

“I know all that, Jen.” This time Allie smiled. “ And I had a great time last night too. For a giant green brute who spends most of her time knocking down buildings, you sure as hell know the route to the g-spot.”

Jen grinned wickedly. “I told you that some of my brain functions stay intact when I go green.”

Allie stood up and they hugged. She was glad that they weren’t going to part on bad terms, but she was racing through options to get rid of Jen politely.

“Um, I don’t want to push you out the door or anything, Jen…” (Lies!, thought Allie), “…but I do have an important meeting at the Science Expo this morning, and if I don’t start getting ready soon I’m gonna be late. Would you mind….?”

“...If I scram?” Jen grinned, and Allie relaxed. After letting her hard exterior slip away to show a more vulnerable side, Jen was right back to her old self.

“You can relax, Allie. I have a meeting at the Expo I need to get ready for too. Did you pick up my phone? I gotta call an Uber…”

Allie shook her head. “I barely had time to pick up my own purse before we had to run out of that nightclub! Sorry, Jen”.

Jen looked as though she was about to fly into a rage, which caused Allie to tense up, but the look passed into a more crestfallen expression.

“That’s my own stupid fault, I guess. Dammit! That leaves me in a jam. I’m supposed to meet this guy in an hour, so don’t have time to head back to the nightclub to see if anyone’s picked my phone up.”

Allie raised an eyebrow. “Besides, you don’t really want to go back there and explain what it is you were up to in that storeroom, do you?” Jen snorted in response.

“Wouldn’t bother me. Can I borrow your phone to call them? Staff might have picked it up”.

A quick call to the nightclub revealed that no-one had handed in a dropped  phone. Cursing loudly, Jen tossed Allie’s phone back to her.

“The scientist I’m meeting told me to call him before I got there to set up the meet! And now I have no way of getting hold of him. Some professional I turned out to be”.

Worried that Jen’s claim to be in control of her anger-fueled alter-ego was dubious, Allie attempted to placate Jen.

“Maybe the friend I’m meeting can help you? What’s your guy’s name?”

“Guys actually. Doctor and Mrs Doctor Burke. Some ex-military husband-and-wife team, who have some kind of revolutionary products my client is interested in investing in.”

Allie blinked. Jen was in town to do business with Jason? And…husband and wife?!  Her mouth suddenly went dry. She had a good hunch who Mrs Burke might be, but she didn’t want to go into these kind of complications with Jen right now.

“Jen, Doctor Burke-- Jason and Julie-- are my friends! They’re the ones I’m meeting today!”

Where, no doubt, Jason was planning to give me the big surprise about the current state of his love-life, Allie thought bitterly.

“Wow, really?” Beamed Jen. “That’s great! We can go and see him together! Oh, but I won’t have time to get back to my hotel.” Jen pondered for a moment before looking up and snapping her fingers.

“We’re roughly the same size, aren’t we? OK, I might have to squeeze myself into one of your bras a bit…”

Allie frowned. Jen grinned.

“...but I definitely wouldn’t fit into any of your Altawoman sized lingerie, right? So-- I just need to borrow some of your business-wear, a briefcase and-- do you have a printer? I need to re-print al lof  my documents!”

Allie groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose. Her plan to get rid of Jen wasn’t exactly a roaring success.

Allie and Jen quickly washed and dressed before catching an Uber to the monorail station. Once there, the pair boarded one of the sleek bullet-shaped trains to Franklin Park and the Science Expo. After a short journey through the bustling metropolis of Cyberville, their train arrived at Franklin Park station where they disembarked.

Jen, clad in a dark grey pinstripe suit jacket and skirt stepped onto the platform followed by Allie, who was more casually dressed in a long-sleeved t-shirt, jeans and ballet pumps. Jen paused by a window and fussed over her reflection, whilst Allie rolled her eyes.

“You look great! Seriously, come on.”

Harrumphing, Jen followed Allie towards the platform stairs.

“I thought you’d finally selected an outfit of mine that you were happy with?”

“I never said that I was happy with it-- just that it was the only one that looked like it had been in fashion sometime during this century”

Allie scowled, and-- not for the first time that morning-- wished she had just kicked Jen out of the door before breakfast.

“Fine. Whatever. Just don’t hulk out of it-- that’s my best suit!”

The pair made their way through the park gardens and towards the art-deco styled festival hall where Jason was to make his presentation. Crowds were starting to gather around the open air attractions and rides, and food stalls lined the avenues around the hall. Climbing the marble steps, Allie and Jen entered the building and checked in at the reception. Allie picked up their VIP passes and handed one to Jen.

“Jason is running a little late, so why don’t we check out some of the exhibits while we wait?”

Jen gave a tight smile which indicated that she was less than thrilled by this. Nonetheless, she gamely followed as Allie made her way through to the exhibition hall.

The exhibition was, even Jen had to admit, impressive. Many stalls displaying a variety of interesting machines and gadgets lined the hall. There they saw hydro-electric powered cars, robot butlers, self-cleaning dining tables and all manner of other science-fiction styled consumer goods. Corridors on all sides led off to anterooms where Jen and Allie saw a 3-D printer that printed working motorcycles, had a brief game of anti-gravity tennis and investigated a tent that had a complete living room-suite made out of memory foam.

Finally, the pair came to the Cyberville hall of fame, which was an exhibit made all the more remarkable, because Allie herself was featured in it. Or rather-- her alter-ego was. Taking up an entire wall was a frieze dedicated to the life and exploits of Cybervile’s most famous denizen-- Altawoman. As Jen studied the wall, it became clear that that life seemed to have extended a lot further than she’d thought. Her attention was particularly drawn to a series of black and white photographs on the far left hand side of the wall. In them, a familiarly buxom and statuesque heroine posed next to vanquished criminals, wrecked robots and supine monsters. The hair was curly rather than straight, the costume a cone-breasted leotard with a leather belt, miniskirt and sandals, but the face was unmistakeable. Jen looked back at Allie.

“Allie is this…you?!” Jen whispered the last part of her question, in case other people were in earshot. Allie grinned back at Jen and shook her head.

“That was my grandmother.”

Jen raised an eyebrow. “I guess the hero thing runs in the family, huh? How about this one?”

Jen pointed to a series of photos a little further up the wall. They were in colour and from nearly thirty years later on, in the nineteen eighties. A more scantily clad looking Altawoman with flame red hair posed  next to rescued buses, sanctioned spies and foiled supervillains. This version of Altawoman appeared to be more concerned with posing provocatively for the camera than cutting a heroic stance, and Jen noted how many of the photographs seemed almost to be little more than staged glamour shoots. There was even a Playboy cover from 1986, with a topless red-headed Altawoman clasping her substantial bosoms in silk-gloved hands. Allie visibly bristled.

“She…. is not related. My grandparents had a boy, and the power only passes to the women in my family.”

“So Red up there is not an aunt or anything?”

Allie pursed her lips. “That’s the Altawoman of the nineteen-eighties.  Jackie Jones.  And I prefer not to talk about her.”

Something told Jen that this flame-haired predecessor and Allie had some bad blood, and fascinating as that might be, she decided it was best not to press. The idea that Allie belonged to a long line of Altawomen intrigued her, however.

“So…”, began Jen, “Your grandma. Who was she?”

Allie smiled mysteriously, and beckoned Jen over to another display on a different wall. It was an exhibit dedicated to Cybervilles most famous scientists. Allie pointed a finger towards two white coated and sober looking individuals photographed in a laboratory.

“That’s my grandmother: Wanda West”. Jen looked at the woman in the photograph. The resemblance to Allie was strong-- the hair was darker, the lips slightly thinner, but otherwise they could have been twins. The man stood next to her was tall and handsome. His temples were flecked with white and he wore thick-rimmed spectacles, making him resemble Gregory Peck in ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’. This was Walter West, pre-eminent physicist and grandfather to Allie.

“My grandparents met at Los Alamos back in the ‘forties. They worked together on various secret programs before being posted to Cyberville. That’s where grandma had ‘The Accident’.”

Allie pointed to another photograph of a burning building with firemen milling about it, trying to put out the blaze. Allie drew closer to Jen and, making sure no-one was listening, continued her tale.

“They were attempting to create a device that would create a doorway to another dimension. Something went wrong and there was a catastrophic explosion. My grandmother- Wanda-- was caught  in the centre of the blast and exposed to interdimensional energies that changed her body-chemistry.”

Jen grinned wolfishly. “Meaning that grandpa West got a big surprise the next time he got frisky with the missus, huh?”

Allie shrugged. “I guess that’s probably how it went down, yeah. There have been other Altawomen throughout history across the world, but Wanda was the first American Altawoman. It turns out that the accident wasn’t exactly an accident, though. The power was always there inside her-- it just took the explosion to wake it up. At least, that’s what I was told.”

Allie and Jen began to make their way to the exit.

“So, did your grandmother pass the power over to you?” Jen cringed as she thought about what such a transfer might entail.

Allie shook her head. “I never knew her. She disappeared when my Dad was very young. The power came to me on my eighteenth birthday and I only found out about my true family history after that.”

“How and why did she disappear?”

Allie shrugged again.

“It was during some adventure. Nobody knows the details for sure. Grandpa died before I was even born, and he never said anything to Dad about what really happened. The Alta-Sisterhood-- my order--; They know nothing about her disappearance either. I’ve always meant to try and get to the bottom of what happened, but I never seem to find the time…”

Allie and Jen made their way to Hall C, where Jason was waiting for them. Allie gave the tall scientist a hug, which Jason enthusiastically reciprocated.

Lantern jawed with floppy, sandy-coloured hair, Jen could see why Allie and Jason had once been a thing. She didn’t know much about what straight women saw in guys, but she knew enough to deduce that Allie’s taste in men was kind of…shallow. This guy looked more like a football player than an atom smasher. Jen smiled and shook Jason by the hand.

“It’s nice to meet you, Doctor Burke,” Said Jen in her most professional voice. “I’m Jennifer Walters from Slott-Kraft. We spoke on the phone last week?”

Jason raised a perfectly trimmed eyebrow at Allie.

“How do you two…?” He began before Allie finished his sentence.

“Know one another? It’s, ahhh, a long story.” Allie looked back over at Jen.

“Jennifer and I have some history that includes…” Allie dropped her voice a little-- “Big and Blonde.”

Jason’s eyes widened. “Oh! Well, say no more, I guess.” He looked bashful, all of a sudden. “Um…are you two-- together? I mean like together, together?”

Jen snaked an arm around Allie’s waist and smiled tightly at Jason.

“You got a problem with that, handsome?” Jen drawled silkily. Allie bristled, unpinning Jen’s fingers from her hip.

“More like friends with benefits, actually!” She shot Jen a venomous glance. “Though sometimes I feel like those benefits are few and far between!”

A third figure loomed into view, and Jen was momentarily taken aback by the striking visage standing before her.

The woman was tall, roughly the same height as Jason and powerfully built. She wasn’t quite the same size as Altawoman or She-Hulk, but Jen could see powerful musculature rippling beneath a tight wine-coloured sweater, charcoal skirt and dark hose. Jen looked up at a face that was angular but pretty, with a neatly combed bob of strawberry blonde hair framing it.

“Oh, Ms. Walters--this is my wife.” Jason stepped back and Julie shook Jen’s hand. Jen winced slightly at Julie’s grip.

This chick was who Jason met on the rebound from Altawoman? He sure does like ‘em strong!

“I’m Doctor Julie Clark-Burke. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Walters”. The clipped tone and manner made Jen suspect that Julie was ex-military. She oddly reminded her of her Father, who had been in the armed services before joining the police force. Jen smiled warmly at Julie, liking the feel of her skin against hers.

“I, ahhh, hope it’s not too awkward-- us being here all together when there’s a…complicated personal history amongst ourselves, I mean.”

Julie’s warm smile broke into a relaxed grin.

“Actually Jason, Allie and I were in a form of open relationship together. We parted mutually when Jason and I became closer and our work took us away from Cyberville, but there was no acrimony. Are you and Allie together now?”

Jen was a little taken aback. She enjoyed stirring up people who she perceived to be squares, but it was always fun when they bit back a little. She liked the cut of this Julie’s jib. She grinned at the taller woman.

“We’re friends with benefits.”

Allie crossed her arms, annoyed. Julie didn’t bat an eyelid.

“I see! Perhaps we can all share those benefits together at some point?”

Jen’s heart fluttered as Julie held her gaze for just that long extra second. Jason coughed nervously.

“Well, I’m sure that would be… very interesting, but we do have a presentation to give so… if you will excuse us?”

Allie touched Jason on the arm lightly. “We need the press passes- remember?”

“Of course!” Jason reached into his jacket pocket and produced two lanyards, handing one each to Jen and Allie.

“I know your employers are keen for some elaboration on what it is my partner and I have been working on, but our demonstration should prove to be very enlightening for you, Ms. Walters.”

“Call me Jen”, said the dark-haired woman, shaking Jason’s hand once again. “I look forward to your presentation, doctors. We’ll meet up afterwards?”

Julie smiled back at Jen. “Count on it”.

The two scientists disappeared through a door into a restricted area leaving Allie and Jen to make their way into the auditorium.

“I like them!” She breezed as Allie examined the lanyards for their seat numbers.

“Mmmm. You didn’t have to come on to Julie like that though.”

“Oh-ho-ho-HO! Do I detect a note of jealousy there, Lady West?”

Allie gritted her teeth.

After the presentation, I’m going to make myself scarce and get away from this…this…

Allie was not a fan of negativity or bottling up resentment, but Jen was seriously starting to annoy her. She’d been looking forward to a more intimate reunion with Jason and Julie-- and she knew that this was something they would have been keen for as well-- but after the presentation she was just going to make her excuses and leave.

Let Jason and Julie wrestle with a horny She-Hulk if they want to! I am getting away from this toxic woman as soon as humanly possible!

An usher showed the two women to their seats at the front of the theatre. The ambience of the room, with it’s dimmed lighting and classical music playing softly in the background, put Allie in mind of a live performance. What was it Jason and Julie had in store? Allie thought a little uneasily back to the Alta-Beam project. The pair had moved on from trying to replicate Altawoman’s powers for the military-- or so they had told Allie. Her stomach fluttered nervously at the thought that the two doctors might be about to roll out a new improved version of the beam, and what the consequences might be for her if they activated such a device in this room. Allie quickly dispelled such thoughts. If there was any chance that whatever Jason and Julie were about to present could be a threat to her, they would have warned her away. Jason had assured Allie that all his work on the Alta-beam had come to an end after the incident on Dimitri Praufic’s island. Allie  knew of no reason why she should distrust Jason or Julie, especially since they had been so close.

As Allie settled back into her chair, visions of their time together swam back into her memory. Evenings where the three of them would be chatting over a bottle of wine after dinner. Then the conversation would suddenly go silent, and either Jason or Julie would look over at the cellar door, look back at the other companions with a raised eyebrow. And then…

Allie shifted in her seat uncomfortably. Even the slightest reminder of those epic threesomes could make her that little bit too excited. She gripped the seats armrests. For a moment, a fluttering in her stomach had threatened to turn into a pulsing warmth. Her nipples were stiffening, and as they pressed into her bra a short thrill of arousal flared between her legs. She closed her eyes, summoning her willpower.

The feelings faded.

Allie sighed, slumping back into her seat. Jen looked over at her, her face quizzical. Allie ignored her.

The lights dimmed even further, and the music changed to something louder, more dramatic. A spotlight was thrown onto the darkened stage, and the audience began to clap. Jason and Julie walked out onto the stage waving and wearing head-microphones. It was like being at a TED talk, Jen thought as she tried not to be dazzled by Jason’s--and most especially Julie’s pearly white smiles. She leant forward, her fingers steepled.

Allie was glad that the presentation had started and that Jen was now distracted. It was all very impressive and dramatic to be sure, but she could not shake her  uneasy feelings about what was about to take place here. Trying to dismiss her forebodings, she listened as Jason began to talk.

“Thank you, everyone. Humanity faces many challenges over the next century, from runaway climate change to the structural problems caused by overpopulation.  The key to solving this existential crisies lies with energy.”

Julie stepped forward, hands spread wide in a classic speech giving pose. The pair were very slick and professional. Very confident. They had to have something pretty special up their sleeves, thought Jen as Julie spoke.

“Imagine a totally reliable source of renewable energy-- safe, clean and abundant. Imagine a device that can harness this energy not from the ground, the sea or the air-- but from outer space!”

Allie’s eyes narrowed. This sounded a little ominous.

“More precisely-- from our own sun!” Jason clicked on a short remote wand and a screen lit up behind the two scientists. On it, an animated representation of the sun slowly rotated, wisps of solar flare leaping and arcing from its surface.

“Gamma rays are produced by our sun in abundance. Invisible, deadly-- but if harnessed properly, a source of near limitless power.”

Allie felt her blood freeze. Gamma Rays? Oh no! She looked over at Jen anxiously, but Her face was unreadable. If she was worried about what might come next, she didn’t show it. Allie knew that gamma radiation had something to do with Jen’s affliction of the She-Hulk, but she wasn’t sure how exactly they caused the mutation. She was willing to bet that being exposed to more would not be very helpful to her condition.

Another spotlight was cast onto the stage. It revealed a boxy looking device on a large extending mechanical arm. It’s sides were smoothly contoured, and it looked for all the world like a giant reading lamp.

“Our Gamma-Energy Collector and Generator. The O-Gen device, for short.”

Jason moved over to a control panel by the O-Gen and flipped a switch. Another spotlight was cast, this time onto a silver saloon car connected by a cable to the gamma collector.

“This electrically powered car has a completely flat battery. It’ll take at least eight hours for it to reach full charge, but with our O-Gen supplying refined gamma-- it’ll be full of juice in seconds.”

“A revolution in clean energy!” Announced Julie to the sound of cautious applause.

It all sounded too good to be true to the audience, but to Allie West it sounded very ominous indeed. A cold sweat broke out on her brow.

If those two start messing around with gamma rays in this room with Jen in it, that’s going to be a very bad scene! I have to get her out of here…

Gently, but firmly, she gripped her friends arm, but Jen just looked at her with a puzzled expression.

“Jen, we should leave!” Hissed Allie. Jen was confused.

“Leave? Why?”

Her response left Allie mildly incredulous.

“Hello? Gamma Rays and you? Not a good combination!”

Jen rolled her eyes. “Allie, I’m the last person on Earth who is going to get radiation poisoning from this thing.”

Allie gritted her teeth, unable to believe Jen was being this dense.

“I’m not talking about getting radiation sickness, Jen-- what if this thing makes you…. what if it brings out her?

Jen briefly looked worried, but brushed it off.

“No-one would have let these two test a device like this if it wasn’t totally safe. Besides, I was told by a… a family member who knows about this sort of stuff that only a large dose of gamma radiation would affect me in that way. They’d have to be firing it at me, and that thing there is absorbing gamma radiation, right?”

Jen paused after finishing her sentence, a faraway look suddenly entering her eyes. Allie clicked too, and the pair looked at one another.

“Maybe the O-Gen can give you…”

“...A cure?” Jen finished Allie’s words for her, for they had been the very words on her own mind. She half smiled, sitting back into her chair.

Could this be it? A cure at last! At least…if that’s what I REALLY want…

Jennifer’s feelings towards the changeling nature of her powers was, to say the least, complicated. The She-Hulk usually came out when she didn’t want her to, and often at the most awkward and inappropriate times. The change was often uncomfortable, even painful at times, but not excruciating. Over time, her body seemed to be adapting to the constant stresses of the physical changes it underwent, to the extent that it could sometimes be almost pleasurable.

It had to depend on the circumstances, of course. The dual nature of her existence was still almost impossible for her to manage, and there wasn’t a day that went by when she didn’t wish she could be free of the She-Hulk.

But sometimes she felt herself longing to give into it. Sitting up late at night with a mountain of paperwork, she’d find herself envying the freedom of her ‘inner cavewoman’ as she called her. It was still a nightmare for her to feel the change coming on against her will--if she lost her temper in court, for example-- but in other circumstances Jen had started to find it could be very welcome…even erotic.

Jen remembered an incident a few months ago when she’d picked up a stalker . She’d been working late and it was dark as she’d left the office. The night air was warm and pleasant, and Jen wanted to walk the short distance to her apartment rather than get a cab. Out of the corner of her eye, she’d seen him, her little shadow peeling off from a wall and following her at a distance as she began to walk down the street. Initially shrugging it off as just paranoia, her unease grew as the man followed her down the block. She’d entered a park that was a short-cut back to her apartment building, and cursed herself straight away for doing so. Panicking, she’d broken into a run, her heart pounding as she’d perceived the man starting to run after her. Of course, this was all it took to push her over the limit. She could feel the change coming--but this time, she’d wanted it to happen.

Managing to temporarily evade her stalker, Jen had quickly made for a bridge in the centre of the park. Gasping as she felt the beginning of the transformation, she hid herself in the shadows, ready to let it come. This time though, something felt different! She stood in the darkness, fists clenched and shuddering as the process began to take hold, but she felt no anguish of any kind. Rather she was thinking about getting big and powerful… about bursting out of her clothes as she became that voluptuous, snarling savage. Most of all, she was thinking about teaching her would-be rapist a lesson he would never forget! And it all excited her.

Groaning and growling, Jen was suddenly only aware of the more sensual aspects of the change. The thought that she would soon be taller, and stronger… and naked. The She-Hulk had an incredible, sexy body and it would soon be hers! It was already on the way to becoming hers. Jen shuddered at the memory of how horny it had made her as she felt her skirt’s hemline pulling up her thighs as her legs grew longer. Her breasts getting bigger, the buttons on her blouse straining as her tits filled up the front and then popping off and pinging against the opposite wall. Her underwear stretching around her swelling buttocks, the gusset pulling tightly against her vulva. The feeling in increasing strength in her arms, her muscles pulsing as they filled up her sleeves.

As the change had come to a shuddering climax, Jen found herself coming to…well, a shuddering climax.

Horny and hulked out, Jen’s hazy recollections after recalled only the most primal and visceral of sensations. Joy and lust in their most carnal and base form. She’d certainly ensured her stalker would never hurt her or any other woman again-- and she had very much enjoyed doing so.

Then there was last night with Altawoman. When Jen was experiencing the potential of what life as the She-Hulk could offer… when she was only just beginning to find a kind of joy in her shared existence with her large green alter-ego… could she really just “cure” herself? Treat the She-Hulk as if she were no more than a malignant tumour to be extracted from her body? Jen’s head told her that she’d be crazy to pass up this chance to end her curse. But her heart wasn’t so sure…

Snapping out of her tangential thoughts, Jen paid attention to the stage once more.

“As we are beginning the demonstration, we have to shield the stage”, said Julie. “It’s purely as a precaution: the O-Gen has been comprehensively proofed against any radioactive leakage. But we want all you in the audience to feel completely safe during this demonstration, so for your peace of mind, the shield will now descend.”

Allie grabbed Jen’s arm and hissed.

“Jen, you can’t be in here right now-- when they set off that device…”

Jen brushed her off. “Relax! They’re going to be stood on stage right next to that thing. No-one would be letting them screw around with radiation unless it was totally safe.”

Allie did not share Jen’s confidence. She had a very uneasy feeling about this, and her instincts were rarely wrong. She looked nervously around her. The auditorium was packed with people. Nobody was leaving, but a low and nervous murmuring had started.

There was no way Jason and Julie could have known about Jen’s secret, but all the same Allie felt very frustrated at being put in this position.. She breathed in, trying to maintain some calm. Instilling Jen with panic and agitation might be just as apt to trigger her metamorphosis into a raging She-Hulk just as well as gamma rays. She would just have to trust that the shielding Jason and Julie had spoken of would offer total protection.

Because if it didn’t…
