Another thing about Teep, it;s not elaborated on, but I think that he's Bi and pursued a relationship with a guy when he was young, but because of the homophobia of the time he was probably deeply traumatized by his family and community and felt forced back into the closet. He then probably fell in love with Gene's Mom when he was older, and when he saw things that reminded him of himself in Gene at a young age he probably started freaking out about the past.

2022-03-30 02:10:11 +0000 UTCSo this one was my favorite episode. I think one of the things that doesn't shine through in context is the fact that Thailand is still a very homophobic society. And explicitly so until about a decade ago. Like New Jersey in the late 2000's: Gays gays, everywhere, but not a right to be found. So that fear of Teep's for his son is very real, as we shall see.
