I really enjoy going through your reactions and thoughts and I absolutely agree on the intimacy & chemistry POV. I haven't watched a lot of queer shows in recent years (simply too busy watching KPop stuff lol) and now that my queer little heart wants to get back into queer shows I'm looking up rec videos and fanvids on Youtube to see what show could get me interested and honestly too often I just think 'meh Idk' and even kisses feel bland compared to the flirtiness and obv love shared in little gestures & glances in e.g. WOH ^^ I'm also ace-spec so yes that might play a role in me not being easily drawn in by sex scenes, but I just need that spark to get me into a pairing and the last few days I even prefered 'not meant to be bl bromances' of some CDramas because I loved the possible (headcanon) pairings anyway lol e.g. Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain can be a wild mess story-wise at times, because some of the het ships seem half-assed in story-writing compared to the bromance (but I needed some comedy after the Untamed) but the bromance~ (Wang Lu x Hai Yunfan) is A+ from pre-relationship getting to know each other to 'he will be mine even in his next life' development :) (but on a more clueless but cute early 20s relationship level compared to the intense love in WOH) (sorry for the OUATILM siderant, I just finished the show and got a lot of feels about their bromance~ so back to your WOH reactions to distract myself lol)

The actors infuse their characters with so much warmth that I literally sigh sometimes during their intimate moments. In my opinion, this show lacks nothing. Spicy sexy time is not indicative of love. A group of strangers found themselves in a family that none of them asked for, and all of them are being fed by it. Beautiful.
