Added 2024-12-13 14:09:33 +0000 UTCEaster eggs galore on this page! The Skystrikers are, of course, GI Joe's fighter jet of choice. In my 'Sunbowverse', the Hulk cartoon takes place a few years before Cobra rears it's head and GI Joe is formed, but Gamma Base is the home of top secret military technology so it seems apt they'd be testing some of the materiel eventually used by the Joes there. The pilots are Brad 'Ace' Armbruster (the figure who came with the Skystriker toy) and Carol Danvers. Don't get too excited! This is Carol pre Ms. Marvel-- having another superhero show up in this comic would be too much. Here, she's 'just' an ace test pilot. The flight suits the pilots are wearing might be familiar to those of you who have seen the episode 'The Hulk destroys Bruce Banner'. It's the same kind worn by the jet pilots in that story.
I drew this page ahead of the one preceding it about 7 years ago, and I'm really thrilled that I have finally been able to finish and present it here! More Red Alert soon!

2024-12-14 06:48:21 +0000 UTCI was tempted to bring Ms Marvel into the mix, but there is already far too much going on in what is supposed to be a comic about the Incredible Hulk! Not to mention all the other ancillary plots that I haven't even addressed since returning to this project.
