Freaking Xue Yang and his psychotic attachment to Xingchen, it's almost hard to hate him, since he does feel something for Xingchen. but that something is always expressed in the most harmful way possible and it's just so messed up.

And to share some stuff (and try not to spoil anything xD) with regards to the timeline and location as per CQL narrative. If you remember that episode when the Wen siblings helped the Jiangs and Wei Ying hide and kept them in their home in Yiling. Yup that time when they cured a-Cheng and Wei Ying found Song Lan. If you remember, Wen Qing wanted to say something about his eyes when she checked him? That was when Song Lan "received" Xingchen's eyes and Wen Qing caught this fact, that Song Lan had a "problem" with them because they were just transferred to him and his body is still adjusting to his new eyes. That's why we see Song Lan in perfect health after a few days when Ying and Cheng entrusted him to escort Yanli to Qinghe (Nie's Unclean Realm). And on the other side, this is when we see Xingchen wandering in Yiling and met with Ah Qing.

2023-10-13 02:14:14 +0000 UTCThe book makes it a little clearer that Song Long dropped his sword intentionally. He didn't want Xiao Xingchen to know he had just "killed" his best friend. Kills me just to think about it.

2023-10-13 01:17:50 +0000 UTCXue Yang killed Song Lans clan because of Xiao Xing Chen and instead of understanding that Xue Yang had done that in order to ruin their relationship Song Lan got angry and blamed Xiao Xing Chen and since Song Lan had been left blind Xiao Xing Chen gouged his eyes out to give them to Song Lan (magic). The reason Song Lan did not approach Xiao Xing Chen when Xue Yang went out is because he had always felt guilty about the way he treated Xiao Xing Chen after his clan died and couldn’t bring himself to approach him. I hope this helped clarify a few things I don’t want to say to much and ruin it for you. I love your reaction by the way🥰
