I really enjoyed this show on the whole, I think the story was the right length, had just the right amount of angst without being over the top for me, I hate shows that are just nonstop fights and angstiness. I really enjoyed Huaien as a character, he has the most precious smile. Also I am so happy to see a Chinese period drama that is an actual BL and not a bromance. As a lover and worshiper of Untamed and Word of Honor, I would love love love to see more BLs in this genre, so I applaud this show for going where others don’t dare to.
