We apologize for the delay in our update post. These past weeks have been incredibly busy for us. Exciting news: next week, we're launching our most extensive update yet, along with a public demo. We've brought on board a highly experienced editor and have completely rewritten our existing story. While the plot remains the same, the quality of writing has significantly improved, offering a smoother reading experience. Additionally, we've rerecorded over 300 voice lines. This new update will also introduce numerous gameplay enhancements, including relationship and personality systems.
With the relationship and personality systems, you can observe the impact of your choices on other characters and on Alex through changes in their affection towards Alex and shifts in Alex's personality. Acting boldly will increase Alex's assertiveness, while meek actions will decrease this stat. Over time, these changes will influence Alex's behavior, unlocking new options and pathways in your playthrough.
Another system that will be added is the skill system. You will be able to train your skills (insight, combat, athletics), and they will affect the outcome of your decisions and gameplay. For example, insight will allow you to read people better, giving you better hints about the decisions you make, and combat skills will decide the outcome whenever you try to fight your way through.
The last system we will be adding is the intoxication system. During parties (like the company outing), you will be able to consume alcohol, and Alex's behavior will change depending on how drunk he is. It will unlock choices Alex wouldn't make sober and will also change his dialog lines to reflect his intoxication.
Aside from the things mentioned above, as usual, we will add new scenes, art, and animations.
