Yeeees! All I want for this show is for Rei to not be alone. Give him the family time with the wholesome sisters! Give him Shimada’s workshop and his fellow showing peers! Give him the club friends who play shogun with him while also expanding his horizons with a new science hobby! God knows he’ll be better for it if his life doesn’t revolve around the one thing he spent his childhood associating with his sole source of self-worth. I think part of the reason Rei is no longer so (IMO unhealthily) obsessed with winning at shoring is because it’s slowly becoming one of the things in his life...instead of the only thing.
