It’s great how the four girls have different friendship dynamics within the group. Mio and Ritsu have been friends a long time, and you can tell by how much Ritsu delights in torturing Mio and in how Mio whacks Ritsu when she’s getting a little too off the wall. But they each have a distinct relationship with Yui and Mugi, too. Yui and Ritsu feed off each other’s silliness, and the more sedate Mio and Mugi have some nice moments together as well. It’s just nice that they’re friends as individuals, as well as as a group.
