The line "Being relieved to know you're the same as someone else is stupid." and the discussion afterwords made me reflect a bit about reaction videos in general and the kind of responses they receive. I've seen quite a few heated comments from a number of different channels, just because a reactor didn't react in the same way as someone else. I always thought of that as kind of weird since it's a reaction, there's no one right way to react.
Dopamine rush and the lack of value is a pretty accurate descriptor to most reaction videos. I mean, how many reactions of FMA:B are out there and if you watch them all, where do you end up?
Even in real life and in the work place, having a different outlook and opinion that doesn't conform the the group is really valuable as it means that there's more critical thinking involved, rather than going with the flow.
Anyway, just wanted to get that out of my system, since I've been thinking about that one line for a bit and probably will continue to for a while.
