Mo Dao Zu Shi 3 4 5 Early Access

Comments

Perfect timing for you to be reacting to Mo Dao Zu Shi, as first three episodes of season 2 episodes were released last night (according to Donghua Reviews) in China. Now to wait for the Eng subs to be released.

WuXian Suibian

also the rabbits are both male~

Oh this was so great, I was so excited to see more than just 1 episode (although as it was for me Friday morning I had to pause and watch the rest during a break at workπŸ˜…). Ah and I was the one who mentioned about the rabbits being colour coded - didn't mean anything more then them being both black and white, like Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian (and it's more meaningful now that you know that WWX was the one who gave them to LWJ and actually on the episode 2, when the present day WWX is brought back to Cloud Recesses after the fight with the goddess statue, almost the first thing we see there are the two rabbits just chilling, so we know that LWJ definitely kept them and cared for them for 16 years - or well... their offspring anyway, idk how long rabbits live). Also it's the white rabbit that WWX saves in that zombie scene in the 5th episode which again is definitely deliberate choice. Then in the 3rd episode there is actually another pretty neat symbolic scene, which won't probably open to people who aren't that familiar with Chinese queer history or the language I guess. So during the scene where WWX first goes to the library for his punished and annoys LWJ by babbling & repeating his name etc, at one point he also sits down on LWJ's sleeve which is on the table. This is symbolic because the term cut-sleeve or "the passion of the cut-sleeve" refers to homosexuality, as there is a story of Chinese emperor who rather cut his own sleeve than woke up his male lover, who had fallen asleep on it. And this word is also used in the novel, so this is a nice little hint to that direction (or well that's what I think 😁). Also glad to see you slowly starting to remember at least some of the names^^

Really enjoyed your reaction, i love this story. i have read the novel, listened the audio book , and the audio drama. watching the live action drama and now watching the donghua with you again.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Nie Huaisang is a pretty interesting character that is underestimated the whole time until everything is revealed at the end of the story :)
