so this will be on Thursdays like S1? definitely looking forward to everything in S2. The guy in golden robes is Jin Guangyao, Wei Wuxian is in his half brothers body (Mo Xuanyu) and as it said he got the final blow to Wen Rohan.

Something both interesting and kind of heartbreaking to me is just... the fact that wei ying clearly still died believing fully that lan zhan wanted to take him to gusu as a war criminal. Like, even tho lan zhan clearly either suspects or already just straight up already knows who wei ying is and is going out of his way to protect him. And that's all he ever wanted. God, WangXian makes me so sad.

Yesss, great to have MDZS reactions back, I've been feeling that void now that both the s2 and the live action have ended. But yeah, as Paige said it's not Nie Huaisang (the fan guy) who killed Wen Ruohan, but Jin Guangyao (the hat guy)- or simply A-Yao as Lan Xichen calls him. In the last episode of the s1 there was that little scene after the ending song with Nie Huaisang (the fan guy) playing with a caged bird while people rushed to tell him that there's something weird happening in a certain hill. Also in this episode Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen talked about how Nie Huaisang has asked when they are coming to Unclean realm/Qinghe (which is the Nie clans place) for the anniversary of his big brother's, Nie Mingjue's, death. Oh and it's the Jin clan that had that red vermilion dot on their forehead (I think the official name for that is bindi). If you remember from the s1 Jin Ling, the son of shijie and Jin Zixuan (thy guy Wei Ying punched for speaking badly about shijie), he also had that red dot as do all prominent people in the Jin clan. Anyways, great reaction and yeah you are really in for a ride even if the season is quite short.

Like Paige said, the man Lan Xichen was talking with is Jin Guangyao (he was shown very briefly in episode 14 with Lan Xichen, then named as Meng Yao), and in the last episode of the first season the Lan Sect juniors explain to "Mo Xuanyu" that Lan Xichen, Jin Guangyao and Nie Mingjue (Nie Huaisang aka H-many vowels-sang's older brother, the guy who charges at Wen Ruohan first) became sworn brothers, so the "Eldest Brother" they talk about is him. Also, you are right about the woman in red, she is a character you know, just in a different outfit :) I love how the opening is just the second verse of the complete song, so it feels even more like we're just picking up from where we left.

Jin Guangyao (the man dressed in yellow who was talking with Lan Xichen in the temple about the watch towers) stuck the final blow to Wen Rouhan! He's the sect leader of the Lanling Jin Sect. Nie Huisang is the guy with the fan in the intro, it's his trademark item. He is the clan leader of the Nie Sect. The "Eldest Brother" Lan Xichen mentioned was Nie Huisang's older brother who was fighting Wen Rouhan at the beginning of the episode with that huge sword. Jin Guangyao was mentioned, I believe once before in the first season, but now is taking part in season two. The woman dressed in red is someone you know ;)
