She was trying to recruit him to her noble house (she's a noble daughter) because having more talented artistic people (like pianists) raises your status in the kingdom. So it's not that she was in love (for once). >_> I like how 559 thought that Cid was "going undercover as a half-wit stutdent" after coming out the bath but that was actually just Cid's true personality. xD
