2024-08-06 17:32:11 +0000 UTCThis episode was a lot. Even though it happened after a big action one, boy did it completely avoid giving us any room to breath! Cloak and dagger plots, so many twists, a roof guy, guilty romance(?). Man. But out of everything that happened, it's obvious that Nina's table scene was the most jarring π±. Quick side note, I also had some trouble pronouncing Nunnally. But instead of learnig the right way to say it, all I think about when I see that name in the subtitles in Nunya. Nunya business!

Yea, Lelouch comments the landslide was more destructive than he thought, and we see the city half buried under the landslide. Shirley's dad was a civilian, he sent the letter with the tickets to Shirley from Narita since he was on a trip for work, before the battle presumably, as Shirley says he likes to do that to make up for being away from her. Loving the fun thoughts and theories!

2024-06-11 21:47:41 +0000 UTCI could be mistaken but I think Shirley's father was a civilian on a business trip to Nartia and was just an innocent man that was burried in the landslide. We saw him briefly on TV pleading with a news reporter during the hotel jacking in episode 8, but I don't think he made any other appearance since then. And I also could be mistaken about this as well, but I took the animation at the end of the episode being that Shirley kissed Lelouch, and then Lelouch continued Shirley's kiss by embracing her.
