This is such a good moment becuase it is Lelouch being completely genuine and human.

2024-08-22 04:20:54 +0000 UTCThis episode always had a very harsh emotional impact on me in ways that is difficult for me to describe. The guilt Lelouch feels at the end of the episode and how his actions are a mixture of wanting to hide away his shame, but also help his friend is a very messy mixture of feelings and motivations that left me in a very depressed state when I first watched the show. It's a "death" of a friend, in probably the most cruel way for him, because every time you'd see her walking around you would be reminded of what you did, deepening the guilt and shame.

2024-06-18 19:05:12 +0000 UTCAnother great reaction! I'm still SO annoyed at this episodes title spoiling the geass reveal, but overall it's pretty minor. Yea, the Shirley mind-wipe "plan" isn't really much of a plan at all. I think this is simply an emotional response from Lelouch, he just reacted to "help" Shirley the only way he could in the moment and it's kind of this abrupt partial mind wipe. We'll have to see how this plays out ;)
