That's the perfect power to cheat yourself into money. And what do we see C.C. do while staying with Lulu and all his money? Eat pizza. C.C. had the perfect setup with Mao. He had mind reading powers and could be sculpted into the perfect pizza chef / big money pants. But Mao couldn't handle that saucy tomato power. He gained an obsession with C.C. when he should have gained an obsession with making a certain Italian dish. Is it just a coincidence that C.C. looked so disappointed when Mao started taking an interest in drawing instead of cooking or making bank. C.C. left Mao, not because of something 'interesting' or 'conflicting.' No! She left him because Mao couldn't provide C.C. with her one true love.
