I think the biggest takeaway for Chihaya learning to mirror and use her left hand was being able to open up her perspective against left handed players. She learned to attack the potential weak sides and openings where right handed players normally don't have! So basically, she's just deepening her understand of Karuta more than the normal "1-handed" player by looking at the game ambidextrously!
