I think path of the tank is a bit off tho- I woulda gone with 'way of the tank' - it's the same DO as is taekwondo - (way of the foot and fist) - path is similar, but you normally see the martial arts ending in DO - and there are quite a few- translated as 'way of the' something.

One group translated it to Tankwondo - which is kinda smart wordplay but sounds silly - and some groups translated it as 'tankery' which I think sounds terrible! I mean seriously- it doesn't hurt to leave the odd word in Japanese in subs if it really doesnt translate well- and explain it just the once..

2020-04-19 02:28:36 +0000 UTCI love this anime :) I've heard people call it k-on in tanks before- it has some similar vibes, tho its basically a sports anime with individual matches.. And yes theres TONS of characters even in just the Oorai tanks- and I've heard people complain you dont get to know them - and they cant really.. Its just tanks have a lot of crew- way too many to make real characters of them all- some of the squads get very little character development- just enough- and you wont even learn most of their names- but I think its better to spend the time on the main cast- and each eps antagonists.
