I think there might be a bit of subtle symbolism in some of their names, specifically Hikari (light) and Mahiru (dawn)

2020-04-19 22:23:30 +0000 UTCThe only thing I've got on the giraffe is that it's a Kirin or Qilin. A sighting of a Qilin was seen as proof that the emperor was just and therefore worthy of the Mandate of Heaven, just like the giraffe decides who is worthy of the tiara.
