You really broke that shit down well, that was great! There's one point that you didn't touch on though, but I think you may have gotten it yourself though. Remember how in the 3rd episode, because Cocona was refusing to go along with Papika, and probably refusing Papika herself, they ended up split up in Pure Illusion and Cocona ended up being influenced by Pure Illusion. The same thing happened here. They found out what Pure Illusion is, and that it can influence and change the world, and specifically people. Cocona refused to continue more, so she was again refusing to go along with Papika, and also doubting her. She didn't trust in Papika to support her and save her, and probably also uncertain about their relationship. So I think Pure Illusion was showing her different versions of Papika to Cocona that she may accept instead. I'm not so sure if these versions may come from parts of Papika, or from what Cocona wants her to be herself. Or maybe it's like a collective unconscious that's showing her this.
