Russia УРА!!!11 and yes, the song "Katyusha", which they sang with a “terrible” but very sweet Japanese accent, it feels like they tried, and from the interviews of voice actresses Katyusha and Nonna you can find out that they love Russia and the language, so this song was written in 1938 and became an almost informal symbol of the Great Patriotic War (World War II in the USSR), there is a version that the BM artillery fighting vehicle on which Katyusha arrived was named after this song, and the symbol on Pravda tanks is a ruler and compass in the form of a sickle and a hammer (symbol of the USSR)

Anime are allotted a scheduled timeslot every season. If there ever were production delays, they either put out a recap episode or they repeat a previous episode. They can't extend the schedule if ever that happens because the next season is already allotted to the anime scheduled for that season in advance. They have to wait for the timeslot to be free again to get it. That's what happened with Girls und Panzer and a most recent anime, Azur Lane.

^Ah it was after 10 the delay? Guess I remembered wrong- I knew there must of been some reason for the delays. I didnt realise they had 'slots' you'd think the channel could find time to fit them in around the right time and delay something unimportant.. edited.

You are right, it is an actual song called Katyusha. Also, the vehicle that Katyusha arrives in before the match to trash talk Oarai is a Katyusha rocket launcher truck.

Actually, the release schedule was as follows: Episode 1-5 was aired as scheduled then they put out episode 5.5 instead of episode 6 because of production delays, then aired episode 6-10 after that. Then they aired episode 10.5 because they decided to delay the last 2 episodes to air in March 2013 because they used up their allotted timeslot for the season and the episodes are not ready to be aired anyway. The reason for the skipped Anzio battle is I think it was made a joke a first as reference of Italy's role in WW2 but Anchovy's character design became popular within the GuP fandom that the GuP staff decided to do a proper episode via the Anzio OVA and also GuP Der Film.

Great reactions :) p.s - Im not sure if they chose to not do the Anzio battle here, or if they HAD to- why I say that is I dont know if you've heard Teeaboo- but the gap between ep 10 and 11 was like 3 months! I always assumed there was so much cgi work or something they fell behind the schedule- and maybe they did earlier and had to skip the anzio ep till they made the ova? Maybe it was just a choice- but as for the 8-9 2 month delay, I really can't see any reason they'd choose to do that with the release schedule if unless they HAD to for some reason? I've never seen another anime that randomly had a huge gap between 2 episodes.

I could be wrong, but I think the song that Pravda sings is an actual traditional Russian military song, not something written for the show.
