this episode could've been so good, but the cutting of corners on animation and bad French killed it, to me it would make much more sense if Claudine(being half french or whatever) isn't actually that fluent in japanese or when the character that speaks multiple languages changes back to her main/first language in a time of distress or like this when she's emotionally unstable, this would only work if the seiyuu did not sound impeccable in japanese and actually could speak french though (the complete opposite of the Claudine we've seen for the entire show), for Maya it could be a moment of "oh crap, she is learning a language to talk to the girl she likes", overall I agree, this episode was the weakest of the show and this saddens me a lot because I loved episode 3 because of Maya's amazing voice and song, Claudine's concept is great but to me it feels badly executed since she speaks japanese like any japanese person while being really bad at french
