Hiei tells him not to worry because the brother who was waiting for the signal to kill his mother just "vanished" after his accomplice was killed. Not sure what it was in the sub but this explanation was always way too convenient for me. Hiei can sense that far away? The brother wouldn't just get revenge and kill her once he realized his brother lost? The only thing I can think of is that it was just a hired demon not a relative so there would be no desire for revenge but even then it sounded like he was full of bloodlust and desperately wanted to kill her which he would be free to act on even after the match. Was he just a summoned familiar that died with his master? I'm thinking about this way too much.

But, he's still behind both Hiei and Botan in terms of my yu yu crushes ♥️ Can't wait to see you react to the next episode!
