I don't know if there is any bigger correlation or meaning between these two separate but similar acts, but I found it interesting.

2020-12-19 00:00:25 +0000 UTCI actually find it really interesting how on the 2nd episode there is actually two acts of "random" kindness: The yokai and the towel and Nishimura with the umbrella, where the recipients get more out of it or wish to have more. Just like the old man doesn't remember the yokai, the girl probably won't remember Nishimura in 50 years time. Nishimura just got his reality check immediately afterwards cause they were both human and could easily interact, unlike with the yokai girl who tried to go back and was ignored since he didn't see her. And because of that she ended up desperately showing up for 50 whole years trying to give back the towel and give appreciation to the act that meant so much to her. I wonder if she could've given the towel back that time, would she have gotten the closure she needed or would she still have been around him all that time...
