The lines from Natori about how Natsume should just be normal show how little he actually understands about Natsume. Natsume was never normal and even if he stopped seeing youkai he still wouldn't be normal cause he knows of that world and has all his memories. Natsume's strength is how he has been able to be part of both of the world's human and youkai and gained his confidence to deal with both of them with passion. Taking that away from him would be incredibly cruel. Hopefully Natori realizes that at some point.
