Found it Tee - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1kFlQ1Vpik&t=884s - its in ep 2 like Tania said. 14.44 on your reaction, or 6.07:10 by your timer.

I think hard work always works to some extent- even if it first fails, it will eventually work or lead to OTHER positive things you never would have predicted- as does pulling yourself up when down- it certainly does you more good than staying down and wallowing.. just like working toward a goal is a far better idea than just daydreaming and hoping for good things. Collective social systems are all well and good but if they are not already in place there is very little an individual can do to make them.

LWA's thesis underlines the importance of self-belief, and hard work towards achieving ones goals.  Its a meaningful message, yet almost aspirational.  "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps," etc.  As a disillusioned American critical of their country's mythos, such themes are hard to swallow.  I find Ikuhara's works to have a more balanced message.  His characters shine just as bright, but rely on collective social systems.

Akko is Japanese. They say so in episode 2, plus her name points towards it and her Shiny Chariot cards are in Japanese. The reason she's reading the book from left to right is that probably most Shiny Chariot merch was European, since she's French. That said, I really liked your reactions and analysis of these two episodes, especially ep.11, which is like a teaser of what's to come in the second course. Also, I'm surprised you didn't recognize the cube dragon thingy, since we see something similar at the start of the first episode.

It's an international school. So there are students are from all over the world, plus some locals like Diana. Our main trio are Japanese, Finnish, and Indonesian or maybe Malaysian.

Juniper And Sage

P.s The show is set in England but Akko has come from Japan- Hence she is the only character with a japanese name- it would be odd if she was called Atsuko Kagari and wasn't from Japan. All other characters are called stuff like diana cavendish, or andrew hanbridge- or in a few cases, other european sounding names.

Your right ALL DM's know about that lol. No matter how well you lay out your stories, you cant controll what players do- only a bad DM would try to obviously shepard them- (you can do it subtly ofcourse) - so this means DMs OFTEN have to make up stuff on the spot for situations they couldnt have predicted and try to weave it into their story :) I think thats half the fun! I enjoyed hearing a bit about your campaign!

Elevown

Akko is Japanese but everyone else isn't.

I absolutely love the updates on your D&D campaign. Even if we can't see it ourselves, seeing you having so much fun and joy about it is just addicting to watch.
