Kyon's conversation with Itsuki is so telling. Itsuki has esper powers. Kyon has nothing. Nevertheless it is Itsuki who is so afraid of Haruhi that he will do nothing to challenge her and not Kyon When Itsuki asks if Kyon actually likes this world, Kyon is noncommittal. Is life more important than justice? As someone who broke with a religious upbringing that I found toxic, that resonates so much.

2021-07-05 14:22:18 +0000 UTCIts been great to watch this show again :) Very much looking forward the movie reaction! p.s I SUPER DONT recommend watching that single ep thats left in the same session as the movie- its far better to do it by itself on an earlier day- I dont know if you remember but its a damn long movie! like 2 hour 45 or something!
