Progress Update, November 7th, 2023
Added 2023-11-07 16:39:00 +0000 UTCA new series of Game Break Down is officially underway! As always, an ENORMOUS thanks to all of you here on Patreon for your support during Sly 2.
In a bit of behind-the-scenes news, I am now the proud owner of an HDMI capture card. A Razer Ripshaw HD if you're curious, which means going forward, I'll be able to capture footage from any console with an HDMI cable. The Switch, the PS3 4 and 5, that other one people seem to like.
As a way to test the waters with it, I've just finished work on two stand-alone videos that will release in the coming weeks. Now as these are relatively short and laid-back videos that aren't Game Break Downs, they'll simply be launching to Youtube. Apart from testing out the capture card, I have many reasons for making these videos. They let me test out new recording and editing techniques, and over their course I've figured out a couple things that should dramatically smooth out my production process.
They also give me a little bit of breathing room to get a head start on GBD #2, as again, I plan on releasing episode 2 over here on the day episode 1 airs on Youtube, what day exactly that will be, I can't say for sure, but you'll certainly be the first to know!
