UPDATE on future project plans!

i'm not actually sure how many people were wondering about this stuff, but i have gotten a couple questions about what's next after LE so i figured i'd just write something about it here anyway!

i mentioned a few months ago that i was planning on developing a story about my lizard characters with the intention of eventually making it a comic. i guess i don't want to say that won't happen EVER, but it's not going to be the next project after LE is over. i realized after struggling with the story that i just couldn't make it what i wanted. i had to make the difficult decision to stop obsessing over it (and i do mean obsessing) and just move on. i didn't like any of the directions the story was being pulled, and think it'd probably work better as a slice-of-life comic? but i don't enjoy writing those as much haha... maybe one day?? it felt REALLY BAD for a while (still does), accepting that their story just isn't ready to be written yet.

but! that doesn't mean i'm done drawing those dumbass lizards! i haven't in a while because i'm still a little bummed over it. kinda feel like i failed them, or the people that were hoping for a story about them. just wanted to clear up why i haven't been doing much with them lately!!! it's because i got SAD YAY

the point of this post wasn't to be a bummer tho hahaha. i've actually started working on a NEW story concept and characters that i feel pretty good about. i'll start sharing a little about them slowly in the KNOCKOUT tier. i don't want to jump the gun again and say it's going to be my next comic before i have any of the story figured out, but i DO feel the vibe of this one a lot more already. excited to start exploring it a little more just to see where it goes.
