Meet Nereilia & Sefton!

Told you I was doing more writing!

So here we go, let me introduce the heroes of our new series! I also thought it might be interesting to share some of the planning process and reference work I use to write the characters! Since I don't plan to make 3D renders for the side stories (at the moment), I thought It might be handy to share the images I use to keep the image of the characters consistent in my mind!

Nereilia is a young water nymph, what we would traditionally call a mermaid or a siren. She is extremely curious, ferocious but kind, brave but naive. She has delicate features, pale skin (doesn't get much sun in the depths of the ocean does she?) with occasional hints of light blue scales, wavey blue hair with dark streaks and gills on the side of her thin neck. Her ears are elflike but spikey and webbed too, like a deep sea fish. Her "human half" is slight and petite, resembling a young teenage girl. Her "fish half" is long, blue, and beautiful with hints of teal and aquamarine.

I will of course go into further detail in the actual literature but that's just a tidbit.

Then there's Sefton. A young sailor recently hired as a swabbie in the cruel pirate captain Mariela's crew. He left his home at a young age to seek his fortune in the 9 seas. Barely of age, he is the youngest person on the crew. Naive and inexperienced, he gets by mostly because he keeps to himself.

One day, the ship was making berth at a mysterious island, Sefton "Sharkbait" Cotton was tasked with finding fresh water, and that's where he meets Nereilia!

Again, I won't go into too much detail cause you know... SPOILERS, but suffice it to say you can expect plenty of rope bondage (Mariela is an expert rigger), breathplay (they are near a lot of water after all), lots of "couple in distress"/Romeo & Juliet style melodrama (both our heroes in this story are quite young) as our starcrossed lovers are subjected to the whims of sadistic pirates and a cruel and mysterious underwater tribe of creatures...

I'm thinking of calling the series "The Twisted Tales of Nereilia & Sefton" just to keep a consistent naming theme!
