Naruto: Copy System#699+700: Doflamingo: I Can't Laugh About This—Fujitora, the Patsy

Shin watched Doflamingo with a faint smile. It looked like Fujitora was planning to deal with him first.

Doflamingo glanced at Shin, who showed no intention of intervening, then at the charging Fujitora. He had no choice but to abandon any other thoughts and focus all his energy on the Admiral. With a flick of his wrist, he sent out razor-thin strings, blocking Fujitora’s attack.

But in the next moment, gravity crashed down on Doflamingo, forcing his body into the ground.

"Fufufufu! What incredible power. As expected of a Marine Admiral," Doflamingo said, enduring Fujitora's attack.

Though his body was trembling, he refused to show any weakness.

"Don't forget, I'm still a Warlord. If you attack me now, you'll be breaking the treaty," Doflamingo said to Fujitora.

"You are no longer a Warlord," Fujitora replied, his expression unchanging.

Fujitora had made up his mind. There was no talking his way out of this. This was going to be tough. Doflamingo took a deep breath. It seemed a fight with Fujitora was unavoidable.

As for asking Shin Uzumaki for help? Seeing the man's spectator-like expression, it was clear he wouldn't lift a finger.

If he still pinned his hopes on someone else, then he, Doflamingo, would be a fool.

"Don't think I can't do anything to you just because you're an Admiral."

A ruthless glint flashed in Doflamingo's eyes. The surrounding materials transformed into strings, weaving towards Fujitora.

"So this is the awakened ability of the String-String Fruit? It's quite impressive," Shin commented, observing Doflamingo's move.

Though he said it was impressive, Shin made no move to Copy the String-String Fruit's ability.

Even though the awakened String-String Fruit looked powerful, it still wasn't worth Shin's Replication Card. He wasn't going to waste one here.

He wasn't even interested in Fujitora's Gravity-Gravity Fruit. Of course, the reason he didn't copy the Gravity-Gravity Fruit was simply that its abilities overlapped completely with his Rinne-Tenseigan.

Anything the Gravity-Gravity Fruit could do, Shin could easily do with his Rinne-Tenseigan.

So why waste a Replication Card?

—————————

"Doflamingo's not as weak as we thought." Olvia couldn't help but say.

"In front of me, he'd be dead in a single slash," Hancock said arrogantly.

But Hancock couldn't kill the current Doflamingo with a single slash. The Doflamingo of today was a force to be reckoned with.

All the strings were now imbued with Armament Haki. Faced with such an all-encompassing attack, even Fujitora had to be cautious.

"<Gravity Blade: Hell's Journey!>"

With Fujitora at the center, an endless gravity was released. The ground was instantly crushed, and Doflamingo's brow furrowed.

The once-flexible strings now felt as heavy as lead, making them difficult to control.

"It seems dealing with you isn't going to be easy," Doflamingo laughed, but there was no smile on his face.

Because he couldn't laugh about this.

If he had the upper hand, Doflamingo wouldn't mind laughing a few times and taunting Fujitora.

But in this situation, how could he taunt Fujitora?

"Captain Shin, won't you reconsider what I said before? I can submit to you. What do you think?"

Doflamingo put some distance between himself and Fujitora, then spoke.

Fujitora, who had been about to attack, also stopped and turned to look at Shin. Of course, "look" was not the right word, since Fujitora was blind.

“You’d submit to me? Doflamingo, don’t make me laugh.” Shin scoffed.

Doflamingo saying he would submit to him? Shin didn't believe a word of it...

The most ambitious people on the sea, Blackbeard and Doflamingo, were definitely on that list.

Blackbeard was already dead, and as for Doflamingo, whether he died or was thrown into Impel Down, it didn't matter.

This guy's ambition was enormous. He would never truly submit to anyone. Doflamingo wanted to be the Pirate King—and he also wanted to obtain eternal life.

But the Op-Op Fruit, which could grant eternal life, had already been eaten by Marguerite, thanks to Shin. So Doflamingo could become Shin's enemy in the future.

Though even if he did become an enemy, he wouldn't cause Shin any trouble. But it was better not to have such a guy causing trouble for him.

"Someone like you... isn't even qualified to submit to me," Shin said calmly.

Shin's words made Doflamingo's face contort with rage, his fierce gaze fixed on Shin.

"Fufufufu! You're really confident, aren't you? You're not afraid of the Five Elders at all."

Doflamingo's words made Fujitora's gaze flicker. What did he mean? Were the Five Elders planning to deal with Shin Uzumaki?

Though he was a Marine Admiral, Fujitora seemed to be unaware of this information.

"Those five old geezers? Even if they teamed up, they couldn't withstand a single blow from me. What makes you think I'd be afraid of the Five Elders?"

—————————

Shin asked with disdain. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Shouldn't the Five Elders be afraid of him?

“Alright, then let’s wait and see.”

“Whether you can afford to wait and see is another question entirely, Doflamingo," Shin said, his tone utterly calm.

"Fujitora, this guy has Celestial Dragon blood. If you don't kill him, even if he's thrown into Impel Down, he might not stay there forever."

Shin deliberately reminded Fujitora.

Fujitora's eyes tightened at the reminder.

The news that Doflamingo was once a Celestial Dragon was a well-kept secret. Sengoku definitely knew, but he had never revealed it. Even Akainu didn't know Doflamingo's hidden identity.

“That's exactly why he won't touch me—because I'm a Celestial Dragon," Doflamingo said. He had no idea how Shin had uncovered his identity, but even with his secret exposed, his composure remained unshaken.

Even though he had been cast out, the blood of a Celestial Dragon still flowed through his veins. So even if he was defeated, the worst that could happen was being locked up in Impel Down.

"That's fine. If Fujitora won't make a move, I certainly will. Didn't you say the Celestial Dragons are coming after me? Fine, I'll just kill a Celestial Dragon as a response." Shin said with a faint smile, looking at Doflamingo.

Doflamingo's face changed, his expression stiffening. He didn't know if Shin Uzumaki was serious or not, but he felt like he was.

<><><><><><><><>

Doflamingo couldn't understand why Shin Uzumaki, who had shown no intention of attacking him before, now seemed to want him dead.

In reality, it was simply because Shin was annoyed with Doflamingo. In their conversation just now, there was a subtle threat in Doflamingo's words.

It was as if he was saying that if Shin didn't save him, the Five Elders would kill him. He was using the Five Elders' intention to attack Shin as a threat.

Whether Doflamingo actually had that thought or not, that was how Shin saw it...

So, letting Doflamingo go was out of the question. Doflamingo wouldn't even get a chance to experience Impel Down.

Shin was preparing to kill him now.

Whether this was good or bad for Doflamingo was unknown. If he were locked up in Impel Down, and he could find a way to escape, then everything would be fine. But if he couldn't escape, then being in Impel Down was worse than death.

At least death wasn't as painful. After all, Impel Down was not a good place.

—————————

"Admiral Fujitora, I surrender." Doflamingo glanced at Fujitora, then suddenly raised his hands in surrender.

Doflamingo still had the strength to fight, but after Shin expressed his intention to kill him, he thought for a moment and chose to surrender. This way, Fujitora would become his protector.

Fujitora's brow furrowed. Since Doflamingo had surrendered, he would naturally be locked up in Impel Down.

Fujitora also had no intention of killing Doflamingo, not because of his Celestial Dragon identity. His duty was simply to capture pirates. Judging them was not his job.

"Doflamingo, I hope you're not planning any tricks." Fujitora said to Doflamingo in a deep voice.

As the Joker—Doflamingo was full of tricks. Just a little while ago, the entire kingdom of Dressrosa was almost destroyed. And before that, Doflamingo had completely controlled Dressrosa in his hands.

"Of course... I have a bigger threat to deal with." Doflamingo wouldn't pull any tricks. Being captured was a good thing now. He could still find a way to escape in the future.

If he was killed by Shin, then everything would be over. Doflamingo could still distinguish between the pros and cons. He would rather be captured than die.

“Your idea is not bad, Doflamingo. But you only know how to use these little tricks and schemes.”

Shin could see what Doflamingo was planning, but he didn't care. Did he think Fujitora could protect him?

“Since he has surrendered, I will not let you harm him.” Fujitora stood in front of Shin.

“Fujitora, are you really that blind? Can’t you see that Doflamingo is just using you as a pawn?”

Shin felt that Fujitora might have a problem with his head. It was so obvious that he was being used as a pawn. And Fujitora was willing to be that pawn. It made Shin laugh.

“Since he is a pirate I have captured, I have to ensure his safety.” Fujitora said calmly.

He was stubborn. Even though he could see that Doflamingo was using him as a shield against Shin Uzumaki, he still didn't back down.

"Alright, you brought this upon yourself. Don't blame me then." Shin said calmly. As Shin spoke, Fujitora became wary.

Doflamingo glanced at Fujitora, not choosing to escape.

If he chose to escape, Fujitora probably wouldn't protect him, and might even attack him as well. This was not the time to escape.

But in a while, Doflamingo would have a chance to escape.

As for whether he could seize the opportunity to escape, that was up to Doflamingo himself.

Though Doflamingo wasn't very confident, he had to try. If he didn't try, he would die.

He couldn't pin his hopes on Fujitora, because Doflamingo could see clearly that Fujitora was no match for Shin Uzumaki. He would be defeated sooner or later. He just didn't know how long Fujitora could last against Shin Uzumaki.

“Fujitora, since you insist on seeking death, then I’ll grant your wish…” Shin said to Fujitora in a calm tone.

But within that calm tone, there was a deep killing intent, which made even Fujitora feel a chill. At this moment, Fujitora felt that Shin's killing intent was a bit terrifying, horrifyingly so.

“Doflamingo, get rid of the Birdcage.” Fujitora said to Doflamingo.

He almost forgot. After discovering that the Birdcage was still shrinking, his expression turned grim. Doflamingo's eyes flickered, but in the end, he still retracted the Birdcage. He couldn't continue to use it now.

If he continued, Fujitora would probably turn around and attack him.

“Is that better, Admiral Fujitora?” Doflamingo asked Fujitora with a smile.

Hearing Doflamingo's words, Fujitora frowned. Doflamingo's sarcastic tone made Fujitora very displeased.

—————————

"Should we help?" Nami couldn't help but ask.

“Nami, it’s not that I’m underestimating you, but you wouldn’t be of any help. Besides, Shin might not even let us interfere,” Robin said.

Nami's strength was not enough to interfere in the current battle, which made her very frustrated. She felt that after all her hard work and hellish training, in the end, she was still useless.

“I will definitely work harder to become stronger in the future,” Nami said.
