black & blue Update

ENGLISH: Sorry for the delay! :,D
I actually wanted to update yesterday, but then I thought: One more page and you'll have a pretty much completed transition scene! :3 From Simon over to Derek's mum so you can also see her. XD

I honestly have to say I've been looking forward to this time in the story for soooo long!
Now all the elements I've been building and establishing will slowly start to mesh together and lead to one event after another!
All this time I was afraid that the story would become boring and that readers would think: "MAUS opens one topic after the other and NEVER closes one? How is that supposed to be a decent story? But hear me out! Now the individual parts are becoming a story! 🤩 From Andy's underground gang, Derek's harem, his life situation and Gogo's problem with Davido! From now on, all the individual pieces will come together :3 And I'm sooo excited to see how you'll like it!

Anyway, in this scene we really get to see Derek's thoughts for the first time. So far, I've deliberately kept them secret so that he can't be morally characterized. We've already realized that he's a good boy. BUT he's not just "good". XDDD He has HUGE flaws. Including the constant lying to get out of complicated situations :,,,,D Of course, it's also due to his tricky life circumstances, but he... is sometimes a wanker who uses people like tools to get by.
I really like ambivalent characters. Hopefully you do too!

So, now I'm really going to try and draw some HANDS OFF! pages! TuT Keep your fingers crossed that it finally works out. Yesterday I tore something in my neck and it HURTS like hell to look down while drawing. This year, I swear, some higher entity is just against me! X,D

DEUTSCH: ENTSCHULDIGT bitte die Verspätung! :,D
Eigentlich wollte ich gestern schon updaten, aber dann dachte ich mir: Noch eine Seite mehr und ihr habt ne HALBWEGS abgeschlossene transition-Szene :3 Also von Simon rüber zu Derek's Mum, so dass ihr sie auch seht! XD

Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich mich so soooo lang auf die nun kommende Zeit in der Story gefreut hab! Jetzt werden langsam all die Elemente, die ich aufgebaut und etabliert habe ineinander greifen und zu einem Ereignis nach dem anderen führen! Die ganze Zeit über hatte ich Schiss, dass die Story langweilig werden könnte und dass Leser denken: Die Maus macht ein thema nach dem anderen auf und NIE eines zu?! Wie soll das denn eine vernünftige Story werden?!
But hear me out! JETZT wird aus den Einzelteilen eine Geschichte! 🤩 Aus Andys Untergrund Gang, aus Derek's Harem, seiner Lebenssituation und aus Gogos Problem mit Davido! Ab jetzt fügen sich alle Einzelteile zusammen :3 Und ich bin sooo gespannt, wie euch das gefallen wird!

In dieser Szene jedenfalls kriegen wir zum ersten Mal so richtig Dereks Gedanken mit. Die hab ich bisher bewusst geheim gehalten, damit man ihn moralisch nicht gut einordnen kann. Dass er ein good boy ist, haben wir so oder so mitgekriegt. ABER er ist nicht nur "gut". XDDD Er hat RIESIGE Macken. Unter anderem die ständige Lügerei, um sich aus komplizierten Situationen raus zu winden :,,,,D Es ist natürlich auch seinen verzwickten Lebensumständen geschuldet, aber er... ist manchmal schon auch 'n Wichser, der Menschen wie werkzeuge benutzt, um durchzukommen. Ich mag ambivalente Charaktere sehr. Ich hoffe, ihr auch!

So, und jetzt versuch ich wirklich mal ein paar HANDS OFF! Seiten zu zeichnen! TuT Drück mir die Daumen, dass es endlich hinhaut. Gestern hab ich mir den HALS verrissen. I swear, dieses Jahr ist irgendeine höhereEntität einfach gegen mich! X,D
