2023-04-27 01:06:46 +0000 UTCThis is a 4 for me. When I mix music, I aim for around -14 dB LUFS (spotify standard), but I’m not sure if there’s a standard for spoken audio. If you’re editing audio in a daw like Reaper, GarageBand or ProTools there is a free loudness meter called Youlean.

2023-04-26 22:23:32 +0000 UTCi literally hate editing audio so I just do that to make it easier on myself, also just a personal preference but I tend to make it louder (not super loud) than you feel it needs to be to leave the option for lowering the volume and also make the sound clearer on speakers

2023-04-26 21:27:38 +0000 UTCwith my headphones audio at 50% it's like a 5 (comfortable but on the low end), it's comfortable still with the audio at 100% but for reference when I listen to music or video I would usually listen at 30% or 40% max. Idk if this helps but for video editing I usually do like a 15 dcb change when I want a noticeable difference like -15 would be low, 0 would be normal and +15 would be what I want to be loudest.
