Progress Report, Monday Loop Delay 31/05 - 21

Hello everyone!

Having spent the weekend sorting out my new computer parts, we have, in lieu of the Monday Loop, another progress report.

Getting the rig upgraded came with the usual birthing pains, but what dragged out on time was the combination of Mother's Day hitting Sunday as well as a truly bizarre phenomena where, after mounting everything in place, sparks would fly out of the back of the case whenever I attempted to insert a screw of the glass panel - just clicking it in place had zero issues associated with it, and the back panel did not have the same issue as the glass one.

Painstakingly disassembling the matter, undoing my neat cable arrangement and taking some conductivity measuring tools to the outside of my power supply unit, which was brand new and I feared had come faulty directly from the factory floor, to see whether it was compromised and had electricity running through it, I found nothing. Eventually, I instead found that disconnecting the RGB power connector entirely made the sparks stop flying, concluding that there might be an extremely niche issue with this particular case where the flashy lights system can be exposed to the glass panel exterior, these cables being stowed away in the enclosed top casing of the roof of it, through some bizarre happenstance.

So, while my case now is dark and broody without its colourful lighting display, it is also functional. I have, in other words, finally upgraded it proper, and this should translate in a significantly less finicky Blender engagement where I believe the extra RAM will come in particularly handy for larger projects. My graphic card is still mid-tier, and I'll need to find a cooling solution to my Ryzen that isn't just the stock cooler it came with to make it run a little lower in temperatures, but we're now in a significantly better spot to work on more ambitious projects than what my old rig would allow for.

Anyway, to somewhat make up for the delay in the Monday Loop (since I spent my whole weekend tearing my hair out over this computer), which I imagine will happen by next week instead, there's a teaser for something I might just have in the works above. I don't see it becoming anything more ambitious owing to the pose, but there's a significant chance that we'll see it turn into a Scenario at least.
