Progress Report, 25/02 - 22

Hello everyone and welcome to another progress report!

This week we've made some strides in terms of model porting, particularly as I've finally found a somewhat comprehensive way to transfer over SFM models into Blender. Thus, much of the spare time outside of my day job has gone towards porting, rigging, and dong-fitting. The penis model also required some texture re-colouring, which I believe turned out pretty well, all things considered.

In that sense, two turian models have been added to our lineup, and we've thus finally widened the gallery of Blue Suns that can entertain our dear Jack in the upcoming piece. I fully intend to re-visit the human Blue Sun model as well, so as to give it some better rigging because holy hell I was very new to it when I did it the first time and it can really be felt whenever I use it in animation.

On the subject of SFM porting, this of course opens up a whole lot of other avenues, but I won't be promising anything just yet. What I can say is that I've begun experimenting a bit just to see what I can accomplish with my somewhat limited understanding of matters and that, so far, it looks quite interesting.

Regarding the Jack project, you might have realized that I've been struggling for a while to write a comprehensive script regarding it. At first it was a jumble of just gang-bangy scenes, but when it turned into a proper project I had to begin taking into consideration the background lore while desperately trying to curtail the peripheral animation required for storytelling. The latter in particular, with how the first script idea went, I quickly realized would become an almost as big undertaking as the actual sex scenes themselves - which, of course, is an issue for someone lacking in time and funding.

Another issue is the particular setting I have chosen in terms of moment in time constrains the posing immensely - working with a Mass Effect 3 model for something meant to occur during Mass Effect 2 means I cannot show the top of her head, for instance, owing to the new hair style she developed between the games. I know this might seem nitpicky to some, but it's quite immersion breaking for others, myself included, and I've thus considered rewriting the setting to be set at another time, more precisely after the Reaper War, but with the exact same themes and setting otherwise. This way we can also sidestep some more problematic connotations that the initial scene and setting had, thereby not tempting fate in terms of my presence here on Patreon.

But, that is it for this week, I believe. I'll be pondering upon this matter and will no doubt have something interesting to report on by next Friday in terms of the script and what work I've managed in this time, so, as always, thank you so much for your continued support, and for all of your kind words.
