Hello everyone and welcome to another the line of progress reports!
With the Wonder Woman comic finally finished, I'm setting my eyes on animation projects once more. The initial focus here will be the Ivy piece, voted by the community to be the 20.000 Twitter follower animation piece, but once I have that one out of the way I'll be taking stock of the stuff I have in the pipeline and seeing what needs rework and what is ready for being worked on in the immediate. Suffice to say Blender updates will inevitably leave some models behind at times, breaking their functionality etc, and I'd be foolish in my zeal to poll the community on priority matters when I don't know whether the models in question will even work or not.
The short project having been dubbed "Hanging Up One's Sword", with work on the Ivy front is thus underway, the scene build being largely finalized after a quick rewrite of the script. Since it'll be a shorter affair I will probably opt to utilize ripped in-game sounds over that of VAs, saving myself the time of the almost impossible task of finding someone who can do Ivy's unique voice justice. Run-time is as of this point unknown, but will no doubt bloat (as usual) beyond what I have planned initially as I work on it.
On another note, I've randomly been approached by the model creator of my old Orc Female commission, and it appears that the model in question is, finally, actually underway. It's been a long time coming, where I remember forking over the money for it back in July of 2019, but I've been treated to images of some basic torso sculpts and the likes which are the first glimpses I've gotten into it actually being in the works. Suffice to say, once I have an FBX variant of this model I'll be looking into properly learning the ropes of porting these into Blender, meaning we'll eventually see the resurfacing (and polishing up of) some old Warcraft classics. While the prospect of Katherine Proudmoore and Alexstrasza making their way back into the roster always has been tempting, I think having my orcess stare at me from beyond the veil of FBX porting will be the final straw that breaks the camel's back, finally forcing me to set aside the time needed to learn the ropes of all this stuff. Fingers crossed this isn't just some anomaly in the fabric of reality.
Reminder as well to vote in the Animation Schedule Poll, where I'm checking the community wishes for content format and update frequency. As of this moment it's looking like the schedule will see some changes, but it's a good 13 days left on the poll and only 367 of you have voted so far. Extra link here for those with hotlink issues:

And that's it for this week - thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words! This week has been rough in terms of work, but it's not anything I haven't tackled before, so I'll be churning on just as always. Hope you're doing well out there, all things considered.
Take care of yourselves, and each other!
