Troop Morale

The present was, at best, a tenuous peace. Being fought to a stalemate hadn't been part of his plans, which naturally meant that little in the way of planning had been done for such an eventuality. The consequences had been very evident, and arose with such speed that he was considering whether instigators were at play - regardless, his troops, having suddenly very little in the way of fighting to do, had been growing incredibly restless and increasingly irate.

Thankfully the representatives of the planet in question had resources to spare, and with some negotiations (and perhaps a strong word or two), he'd acquired what was ostensibly a volunteer to keep troop morale high through some manner of cultural exchange.

Whatever her intention, he couldn't argue with the results, with his soldiers' frustration measurably lessening by the day.

... The camera? Oh, that was simply his prerogative.

Not that she was complaining either.

Voted into being by the Alley Crew and with the discord gang helping out with partner decisions, we finally have the Scenario for June 2023 - dubbed "Troop Morale" where a faceless protagonist muses over them earthling ways.

Midsummer hit in the middle of my work on this, meaning I had to make up for lost time during the week. All in all, I'm fairly happy with how it turned out, and think it's a decent enough representation of what can be expected from a ~2 weekend equivalent of work. Gwen's hair is a single, solid mass without bones or particle function, so my apologies for the somewhat simple animation attention it got, but it was either making it not glaringly bad or spending an inordinate amount of time trying to make it look good, something I opted to not do given the limited time on my hands.

The "switch at the end" bit incidentally has been heavily requested for a while too, so I figured I'd give it a shot, and I think it came out looking pretty alright. I tried giving the goblins a more frantic, hurried style to them, which is why the switch is pretty fast - they're eager fellas, the little buggers.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words. I've been floating the idea of modifying the Alley Crew's loop poll into a "Less Popular Ladies" poll that'll land every second month or the likes, just to give other girls a good shot at being featured for a loop at least, but for now we've got some Power Girl coming up for this Monday. Ever onwards, we move towards the future.
