Progress Report, 23/02 - 24

Hello and welcome to another progress report, folks.

I don't normally use these to vent as I think the focus in my communication as a creator, whether here or on other social media platforms, should be about my content - it's after all what you're all here for. But when the circumstances of life become obstacles to that content, I feel like I need to at least fill you in on the on-going issues I have so as to at least keep you all up to date as to why I might suddenly have to push something or whatnot, effectively trying to ensure that delays or similar do not come out of nowhere.

That and, well, maybe I'm a bit annoyed and feel the need to scream into the void for a bit.

Some of you will be aware that I've had issues with a (somewhat) recently moved in, noisy neighbor for quite some time. Specifically, the folks below me have been renovating their apartment since sometime in October last year, if not earlier if my memory serves. I genuinely do not know what would require months of extensive drilling, sanding, hammering and so on in concrete unless they're set on working their way through a load-bearing wall in a bid to assassinate me, though people with more know-how that I've asked have noted that there might be extensive water damage that needs removing or similar. Regardless, it's been a trying time that's  been putting a damper on my ability to properly time and animate especially long-form content formats likes Scenarios and Projects - loop editing isn't as impacted owing to how short they are, without much in the way of lip sync etc. This week I got another great surprise in that our hot water has vanished in relation to my dear neighbors working on their piping, so post-gym showers have been really interesting to say the least.

"May you live in interesting times" as someone once said.

But enough ranting. I've managed to finalize the female model list, getting images sorted for all our currently available models that I'm (somewhat) comfortable saying are viable for animation work. Owing to backer feedback I've also begun work on a male model list, which will also delineate what categories these fellas fall within when it comes to the $10 tier vote system, so people don't go into it as blindly.

The female list should be complete, but it's not impossible that I've missed a name or two that are nestled in between the images. If you catch a discrepancy there, don't hesitate to mention it and I'll try to sort it out as soon as possible. The male list hasn't gotten its images sorted far, but it is an otherwise complete list of (preliminarily) workable male models for use in my work.

Ivy's project got a little more work this week too, but I've honestly been pretty out of it for a few days, and the drilling does have a penchant for giving me a solid headache after a few hours. Aaah, the noise cancelling headphones do nothing.

Thank you everone, as always, for sticking with me in my struggles, and for all of your kind words. I was meaning to get more work done today, but I'm cold as all hell from the glacier water that my shower barraged me with, and feel pretty damn tired. I'll be getting a hot drink and try to get to bed in good time tonight, as Liara's scenario has its release slated for Monday. Hope you're doing alright out there folks, and always be on the lookout for those renovating neighbors, you never know when they strike.
