There was a certain charm to ancient ruins, with their storied histories often clouded in mystery, and the occasional deadly trap to avoid - no shortage of thrills, in that sense, but if there was one thing Lara had since long lost the appetite for, it was all the damn dust and grime.
The forest stood as its polar opposite, in that sense. Where the ruins were cramped, the forest always, eventually, broke up into meadows. Where the ruins were a maze of nonsense more often than not, the forest was pretty straight forward in so far as directions came. Most importantly though, was the breeze on her face, her lungs filled with the reinvigorating breath of the forest as it lazily drifted between the rocks and trunks.
Another advantage of the forest was, of course, that it was anything but abandoned. Curious birds, squirrels and other creatures would pop up on the regular in her periphery, scurrying off to safety when she seemed to spot them, making her lips crease into a smile each and every time she caught it.
"So... where's your village at?"
Of course, not all creatures were as skittish. The forest had plenty of other denizens too, stemming from a complex web of cultural intermingling between various species of sentient dwellers, seldom seen close to human settlements. Instead, their interests lie primarily in her previous occupation - plunging the depths of the various ruins dotting the landscape, and bringing back their trophies as idols of worship to be safeguarded in secret locations, though always close to their villages.
"Come now..."
She leaned in once more, and the green creature's hand shakily entangled itself into her hair this time. She moaned, and he did too, as his girth entered her warm, eager mouth, stretching her plump lips around the pulsating meat.
"Krahk... unsure..."
Negotiations were going really well so far. Lara's large, brown eyes rose to stare up at him, eyebrows raising as she let out a faux demure whimper, and she had to keep herself from smiling around him as she saw his jaw set. He jolted inside her mouth, and she let out another whimper, this time genuine, as a salty taste clouded her tongue for a moment.
It wasn't the first of his tribe that she'd... conversed with, that night, and the puzzle was slowly coming together.
She just needed a few more to show up.

Lara Croft gets another Scenario owing to the whims of the Alley Crew vote! It's a very lovely model to work with overall, and while I tried to keep the scene a little more murky owing to its night-time setting, I hope it didn't come out all too dark. While it looks fine on my monitor, I know folks watch my content on all kinds of devices, so it's always best to ask for feedback on these matters. Regardless, I hope you enjoy it folks :)
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words. The weather remains humid but steady outside, giving me ample reason to run the fan constantly indoors just to keep myself from moistening over and to remain somewhat comfortable. My neighbors have been surprisingly quiet over the past few days so it's not impossible that renovations have calmed down, and I'll get some peace this week to work on other matters. Fingers crossed, and hope you're doing well out there, folks!
Take care of yourselves, as well as each other!
