Progress Report, Archive Announcement, 10/01 - 25
Added 2025-01-10 05:00:07 +0000 UTCHello everyone and welcome to another brief progress report!
This week has been a rather productive one in terms of technical study as well as some big archive structuring, the latter which took no less than 2 full workdays to sort out.
First things first, the announcement of the Grand Archive:
(EDIT: the link and corresponding password is now available in the pinned FAQ, the link below will instead lead to that post)

trumpet sound
Above is a link to a MEGA archive folder featuring every animated piece I've made since 2021, consisting of roughly 150 animations of various kinds ordered by name and game/franchise with a functioning search bar at the top, which I will continue to build upon going into the future. The link will expire every month on the final day, with a new one being generated on the first of the following month (alternatively, a new password to the gallery will be generated - I'm still not entirely sure how this will work out), either way this will always be featured at the top of the FAQ. The reason for the gallery being from 2021 is that this was the juncture of my transition over into Blender from SFM, which I feel is more representative of my current work - I might return one day to try to incorporate earlier stuff into it, but for now this will be the cutoff point.
The structuring of the Grand Archive (trumpet sound) was brought about by my plans to launch my Subscribestar mirror page which will feature the same work as I do on here. The plan as of now is to launch it officially on the 1:st of February with some Twitter announcement or whatnot, and to make sure that there's no discrepancies between the platform the $2 tier of Patreon will be granted basic Discord access, though not to any content channels per se. This is because Subscribestar does not allow you to have tiers without Discord access, so there is a new role being created labeled Customer to denote the corresponding tier. Fair is fair.
On the technical side of things I've finally gotten a basic grasp on fluid dynamics in Blender and am considering its incorporation into the Scenario of this month. More experimenting is necessary, and there's no better way to learn than by doing, so I'll see about giving it my best shot for whoever wins the on-going Scenario poll. Physics are a while off yet, so I will keep animating things by hand in that respect. Having also acquired a better understanding of multires sculpts will enable me to make more detailed wallpapers already however, so I'm looking forward to putting that to the test and getting some proper practice in there.
And that's it for this week folks. Busy days, but I feel like I'm hitting a stride that I hope will continue to carry me forward, particularly after I was rather downtrodden by the time the holidays landed. My one day off a week (Friday) has come, but I will be returning Saturday to work on the by then concluded LPL vote. I hope you're doing well out there folks, and thank you, as always, for your support and kind words.
Take care of yourselves out there, as well as each other!
