Progress Report, 07/03 - 25

Hello everyone and welcome to another brief progress report.

Having gone back to sort out the hair I can finally now declare Scene 2 of the Ivy project resolved. Scene 3 is underway and this week I managed to fix the last of the lip sync as well as a core animation structure effectively from start to finish. So while there's work to be done on the scene yet, it's been a productive week once more. Remaining in the project is finishing up Scene 3 and then tackling Scene 4 and 5 (with 5 being the heaviest apart from the intro), as well as the Outro section. While it's been a long time coming I can say, with certainty, that my new schedule has enabled me to make more progress on the project over the past 2 months than I did the entirety of 2024, so it seems to be working as intended. Seems very promising for the future, in that sense.

EDI's comic in turn saw a small delay as I struggle somewhat to find appropriate comic fonts for a more Mass Effect-y styled comic, but I hope to have that resolved by next week. Tuesday is when I'll tackle it again and see what can be accomplished, with Chapter 1 having been rendered out in its entirety, so it's all about getting them panels set up properly.

And that's it for this week. Another one in the bag, as they say, though I'm not sure what bag or for what purpose - better to not question a good thing. The weeks go by quickly at times so it's healthy to simply pause in your everyday life, making some space for it, and just breathe and be. Another week always comes, and it's good to have some strength saved up for it.
