Progress Report, 13/07 - 18

It's-a me! Progress report!

With my stuffed work schedule slowly subsiding, I've finally taken the time to go through a whole sleuth of custom models, some sent by lovely people and some downloaded through obscure pages (or on a whim from sfmlab), and have subsequently seen my model library expanded significantly. While I personally have been slightly averse at times to models with a more "cartoony" vibe to them, I have to say that (particularly) some of them really manages to override that by sheer force of curves. Peach, for instance, is pictured above - and as you can see, her hips tell no lies and goddamn the alley crew would probably like to have a word with her.

I'm not entirely sure how the community will take to them, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mix it up occasionally and throw in some content with these, particularly after my production output has ramped up again. Models include ladies from all manner of universes such as from Super Mario, Zelda, Sonic and even Goof Troop. I'll be sure to mark posts that may contain technically "furry" or otherwise anthropomorphic content with warnings.

These would probably have to be entirely patreon exclusive as well, as big N tends to be rather stingy with their trademarks etc.

On the note of Project Synthesis, animation continues.

Pictured above is both a teaser as well as something I'd like to highlight whenever I mention "juttering" or just "models fucking with me". I've managed to create a manner of rather lovely boob jiggle on Liara here (if I may say so myself), but as you can see, one of the nipples (or rather, outer jiggle bones) for some reason act up during rendering, which leaves the right breast looking sub-par in comparison to its twin. This often necessitates manual fidgeting with them in the long run, particularly if it's a session-wide issue (sometimes a whole session seems to just be particularly prone to creating this issue) which might shine some light as to why certain animations of mine take much longer to make than they perhaps rightfully should. This is notably more common with older models, and Liara's got a few years on her at this point. She's still my favorite through it all though :)

Scene 1 has seen the most progress so far, trailed by scene 4, and then scene 2. The reaper pit (scene 3) hasn't been tampered with much yet as the last few attempts resulted in crashes to desktop, but I'll find a way around it one way or another. Additionally, I've begun animating the "Parnack" scene because I found it so lovely, and might actually turn it into something of a short if things go well.

Lady of the Woods 2 is seeing a revamp to its monster setup. The creatures I utilized are terribly flawed and, while I initially thought it salvageable, they inevitably break when animated. Considering perhaps having a poll on which to include and not. Community engagement tends to be good on those, less contentious issues!

Project Blitzball is also proceeding. I'm very close in the game to get to the Blitzball part, and I'm also taking the opportunity to record some of the voiced dialogue that may come in handy which I couldn't find among the tens thousand files or so I worked in the extraction tool.

Work on commissions continue and, with some luck, I might be able to open more slots in the near future. I'm both happy and surprised to see so many people wanting me to create things for them! At any rate, I hope the weather's treating you better than it is us up here - drought has finally hit and people are super annoyed they're not allowed to water their garden grass. Personally, I wish I just had a bathtub to submerge myself in :)
