Preliminary results showed Female Subject to be infertile, or at the very least, extremely unlikely to conceive. Once the appropriate DNA markers were identified, Husk breeding protocols were altered to counteract previous genetic tampering.
The new generation took to their task with enthusiasm. Female Subject's ability to stay conscious while Husks emptied payloads and fell dormant is to be commended.

Monday loop courtesy of a commission. The Husk's janky-ass rig made me redo this thing more than once, which made me realize I'm going to have to device a better one in the future, and even then the loop didn't quite close perfectly. At this rate, I have 2 more commissions remaining before I can consider opening more. Tuesday was the previous idea, but as I was expecting to get more done today instead of spending my time getting screwed over by a single husk, I now tentatively put it to "this week".
As always, thank you so much for your continued support, and for all of your kind words! The heat is utterly unbearable still, and we're headed to worse, so keep DH in your thoughts if you're in cooler weather and hope I make it through all this :)
All the best,
/DH
