Progress Report, 27/12 - 19

It's time to lean back and relax for another progress report, only to realize that Shepard was passed out under the nearby christmas tree.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your kind words regarding the newest project release. The reception thus far has been pretty positive, particularly for a short project like this one, with fair criticism levied as well.

Editing is in itself a process that inevitably bites into the project's animated bits, and to make things flow with music while still maintaining a cohesive structure, it's sometimes necessary to throw bits around to better suit the immediate which can make the overarching picture suffer somewhat. Most crucially, I was once again bound by the ripped soundbites from the game, the vast majority of which come across as simply pained or strained in the manner of pushing a massive box rather than any naughty stuff, which means length must inevitably be curbed lest sounds will begin to be repeated - which is, in my eyes at least, more jarring than shorter clip lengths. This said, I too realize the frustration of short clip lengths and a scene cutting away just as it gets to its good bits, so I will attempt, once more, to have shots stay a bit longer on each scene in the future.

I've sent out a few messages pertaining to commission work, as I have even more concepts in the works at present. My notes are a jumbled mess from when my illness/treatment was at its worst, so if you were promised a commission slot and retain your interest after all this time, please utilize that same PM to get back to me here on patreon and we'll get your commission sorted :)

Next up is the Alexstrasza project, which I hope to be able to deliver January. Once the holidays are over and I've shortened the commission queue slightly, I'll have my focus back on track. Following that, we'll do a final poll on which Lulu project to finish first out of the 2 that I've got in the works. Then, beyond that horizon, we'll look into culturing more, large projects through polling and the likes :)
