Progress Report, 27/03 - 20

Hello everyone and welcome to a brief progress report!

The past week's been mostly clouded in the on-going epidemic, and though I am thankful I can work from home it tends to drag my days out longer than when I go there physically, meaning my time is ironically more limited when I'm already at home than when I go to the office. Nothing in life makes sense.

Regardless, I've managed to do two things this week: poke around with the Cassie side-project, making it look way less wonky in spite of its lacking IK rig, and I've also made some progress on the Lady of the Woods 2 script. As it's being redone from the ground up with VA in mind, I've also began to scout for talent in that field that can pull off Lulu's distinct, husky voice, and believe me when I say that it's not easy to find. Most VA reels seem to go between the usual high-pitched anime squeals to succubi-inspired seductive tones, but few explore the actual breathy way Lulu speaks. I am possibly going to have to resort to casting calls, asking people for examples etc, which always feels terrible because it feels like asking for free labour.

Regardless, the script is moving forward, and will largely retain its structure of Tidus peeking at Lulu and Kimahri when they sneak off to do their bit, and then monsters (fiends) dropping in at their leisure. The greatest obstacle I have at present is in which order they will appear and what exact poses would work with each monster (we can't have all of them just pound her from behind after all), though I have some idea for what would make a smooth transition between scenes and the likes. Regardless, I hope to have it drafted and shared here in the near future :)

I have an upcoming April's Fools wallpaper for next Wednesday as well, which I hope won't be too traumatizing. Uh, look forward to that.
