Progress Report and Poll, 12/03 - 21

Hello everyone and welcome to another in the line of progress reports!
My cold or whatever the hell plagued me is finally subsiding, meaning I'm slowly recovering from the daily fatigue I've struggled with over the past two weeks. Things are looking bright for the prospect of returning to regular schedule content from next week and onward, so look forward to the Monday loop and more to come :)
In terms of projects I have, perhaps unsurprisingly, not had much time or energy to deal with things of larger structure owing to illness, but owing to the amount of time I spent laying on my bed or couch while feeling like I was slowly dying, I've had a lot of time to sort things through in my head in terms of the content on this patreon moving forward. I have carried a lot of frustration for some time in terms of my wishes to create and deliver upon more intricate works than simple loops and wallpapers, and the larger projects pretty much inevitably bloat beyond their original scope, taking months to make. Thus, I need something smaller, but still interesting for my creative spirit.
As such when I began to proper recover health-wise, I set to working on this experimental prospect: something like a low- to mid-tier piece, less ambitious than projects and yet more ambitious than Monday loops. Owing to the way I work, these will be more classical DH pieces, almost certainly with game sounds and voice lines ripped owing to the shorter production cycle and lower budgets, reminiscent to that of my early work but with, hopefully, significantly better quality compared to back then. I have dubbed these pieces "Scenarios", and the idea is to have them be the bridge between larger projects and loops, consisting of singular short scenarios found in game lore, with a small preamble or explanation of setting, and it ending in a single creampie or the likes. The idea with these as well is to be able to deliver on projects I have previously considered or worked on, but which I find cannot stretch to the length that has come to be expected of a large project, and which thus would suffer quality wise if I attempted to crowbar it into such a form anyway. Take, for instance, Project: Breaking the Lineage, where I am primarily struggling with the Shinnok model, but honestly also with the script, as the idea of the project is effectively spent after the first time Cassie gets creampied. With the Scenario structure, I could more easily deliver on the Scenario in question, while keeping my sanity intact by not having to feel like I have to stretch it into a 6 minute long ordeal, and it might even lay groundwork for other Scenarios or even Projects that builds upon these silly lore bits we're exploring.
This of course does not mean I am giving up on larger projects, it's just that they sometimes are incredibly daunting and to be perfectly honest, after a long day of work, I will sometimes come home, sit down in my chair, and find myself simply lacking the motivation to poke away at these giants. To clarify as well: my regular update schedule of Loops, Wallpapers and Progress Report will continue, with these Scenarios replacing the occasional Loop on Mondays. Having these smaller, less intimidating pieces in between would be good for my mental health, my motivation, and most crucially, they would also enable me to create more varied work centered on different characters, with more frequent polling for community input on these matters, as to have more representation from the larger gallery of ladies as well. Community input has, for instance, pointed out the propensity for Mass Effect to win polls, and I've noted the rationale for asking that the universe be temporarily suspended from polls in order to give other settings a chance, as being fundamentally reasonable, but also one which can be devastating, since the most common content poll is on my larger projects - of which I can only muster to deliver a few per year. As such, suspending Mass Effect (as an example) from a content poll or two might see it denied entry for literal months, which doesn't sit quite right with me. It wouldn't for any universe.
I thus firmly believe that Scenarios is the solution I am hoping for, and which might give you people something meatier to bite into, while giving me some respite from the stuff stuck in development hell. Should this be the path we take, I will look into the projects we currently have in the works, and consider their potential and roles in all this, as well.
So, Scenarios, yes or no?
(Also, thanks for your support, and take care of yourselves!)

Hahah, i see what you did there, the script was very "meaty" :D Very glad it's still in the works, but bottom line as all of us has said, keep a healthy lifestyle and avoid that dreaded burnout! Scenarios is a very neat idea cause we'll likely see a more varied rotation of characters. Thanks for clearing it up!

2021-03-15 04:06:03 +0000 UTCContinued Negotiations will continue to be developed as planned! The primary idea of Scenarios is to be able to create more frequent work in line with my projects, but without feeling like I have to make anything that is a proper "video" into a 6-minute ordeal. Additionally, for those weeks where I only found the motivation or energy to poke away at a project for a few hours I hope to instead have the motivation to work a bit on Scenarios, thereby both making progress reports a bit more interesting to read other than the occasional "still working on" that I find myself repeating, and mixing up the Monday Loop schedule with something more meaty :)

2021-03-14 13:41:24 +0000 UTCSeeing that Scenarios is probably going to win the Poll, I guess it's safe to say the "Continued Negotiations" script may fall by the wayside? Anybody know what's going on with that cause it was quite promising after reading it. But of course, the scope of it was HUGE in terms of VA and animation.

2021-03-14 06:36:48 +0000 UTCYeah man, just go for it. If it doesn't work out you just stop doing it, that's literally the worst that could happen!

2021-03-14 01:49:14 +0000 UTCI do like the idea of scenarios, but I'm worried you may be taking on too much. Doing a full days work, then trying to do scenarios, loops, wallpapers AND working on projects seems like quite a bit. You are posting quite often, in fact probably more than a fair few people I support. I'd honestly be happy with just scenarios and project work, but that's just me! Just try not to burn yourself out :)

2021-03-12 22:12:00 +0000 UTCYou update frequently and keep your subs updated with how progress is going. So as far as I'm concerned you do you. One of the few people that does that.

2021-03-12 19:46:42 +0000 UTCAgreed, the scenario idea seems like a good way to try different ideas or scenes without spending too much time on it, like a bigger project. I'll be good either way man, glad you're feeling better too. Keep up the good stuff man ❤️

2021-03-12 19:28:09 +0000 UTCThank you, that is also part of the idea - by limiting myself in scope by setting a clear goal, I'll be making sure it doesn't bloat by the very nature of Scenarios. And perhaps it is :>

2021-03-12 18:43:20 +0000 UTCScenarios sounds like a good half-way point between loops and full scenes. Heck, it might just be a good way to NOT force yourself in expanding every single idea. It ultimately comes down to what you prefer, and I’m sure everyone would appreciate something much more to enjoy without it being a fullblown project.
