Quest scripting + odds and ends

Bow and arrow stuff!  I need to start working on combat encounter design stuff and currently all of the NPC units only have a few choices for how they interact in combat and ranged combat isn't really an option... yet! So I started putting together what is required for ranged weapons like a bow and arrow. The animation, model, textures are all placeholder right now while I get the functionality in. So far the quiver will attach to the player and will disappear when they run out of arrows. The arrows will appear in the player's hand as they draw the bow and will disappear as it is fired. Firing an arrow will reduce the current number of arrows in the player inventory.

Next I need to change the projectiles to match the currently equipped arrows, make some proper art assets, add a UI ammo counter, and stop the player from being able to fire without any arrows equipped. Then I need to add NPC ai logic to support the whole mess. But it's a solid step forward so far!

I quickly ported some of the imp armor bits to the human characters. Shackles, chef's hat, and iron face mask. These were the easy pieces I'm not sure if I'll port the full outfits or not because those require jumping all the way back to the sculpting stage to make them fit humans. We'll see, still undecided here.

Redtree dive bar interior is mostly done. Still needs some more grunge and clutter but it's there enough to drop in for this next build. All these interiors I'll keep updating as I make more props and environment assets too.

Quest scripting! (Super minor spoilers!!!) The last image shows the test level and the some quest important items. It also shows the 2 new merchant chests and the guards that I needed to test some of the quest logic. Things are progressing pretty steadily and I'll be adding these to the actual map and doing a few test runs hopefully this week.

Oh, and the slime ball stuff from last week - after seeing the positive reception I'm planning on turning that into an NPC and possible follower for the player. It's on the to do list once I get a bit of extra time. So it'll be in there eventually!

Last last thing - Apple app store and Patreon stuff!!! If you use the Patreon app through the Apple app store Apple is now charging a 30% fee on top of whatever the regular Patreon tier price is. BUT if you open the Patreon website and subscribe to a tier directly there you'll see and be able to subscribe at the normal tier price! Just to make everyone aware if they see a weird price difference and weren't sure why.
